Rod Stewart’s Family Tree Revealed: A Newborn Grandchild, the Wife He Proposed to After 3 Weeks, and the Partner Who Sued Him for $25 Million — Photos

The singer’s sprawling family tree began with a painful decision made before fame and fortune arrived. Decades later, it includes an audacious proposal over sandwiches, a multimillion-dollar courtroom fight, an enduring marriage pact, and a baby whose meaningful name moved an entire family.

Rod Stewart has eight children with five women, and their stories rarely follow the route expected of a rock star’s family. Some entered entertainment, but others chose hockey, wellness, writing, business, and lives kept almost entirely away from public view.

Susannah Boffey and the Daughter They Could Not Raise

Stewart and his teenage girlfriend, Susannah Boffey, met at a nightclub before his music career took off. Their relationship produced his first child, but the young couple had neither the money nor the stability to raise her.

Their daughter was placed in care at one and moved between foster homes before Evelyn and Gerald Thubron adopted her at five. Boffey later said Stewart had romanticized their relationship in “Brighton Beach,” a song from his 2013 album “Time,” and accused him of abandoning both mother and child.

Stewart’s version carried guilt of its own. In a later interview, he recalled the fear of telling his parents about the pregnancy.

“My mum wanted to know if I was going to get married, and I said, ‘Well, not really, Mum,’ you know. She’s really old-fashioned. She said, ‘Well, she won’t get married in white, will she?’ I didn’t have a [expletive] clue what that meant.”

Boffey and Stewart never rebuilt their relationship. Yet the daughter they gave up eventually found a way back to her famous father, though that reconciliation took almost half a century.

Alana Stewart, His First Wife, Carried Private Pain Into Hollywood

Alana Stewart, born Alana Kaye Collins in San Diego on May 18, 1945, endured abandonment, poverty, and an unstable childhood in rural Texas. She escaped to New York, became a Ford model, and built an acting career that included “Evel Knievel,” “Night Call Nurses,” and “Delivered.”

She married actor George Hamilton in 1972 before marrying Stewart in 1979. Their glamorous life included famous friends and lavish travel, but she later acknowledged that she was deeply unhappy.

“I was expecting a man or the marriage to make me happy when it was really up to me to deal with what I had been holding deep inside me,” she told CBS12. “Happiness is an inside job, isn’t it?”

Her memoir, “Rearview Mirror“, addressed her marriages, bulimia, depression, sexual assault, family addiction, and the death of her best friend, Farrah Fawcett, from anal cancer in 2009.

Kelly Emberg and the $25 Million Claim

Model and actress Kelly Emberg was born in Houston, Texas, on July 2, 1959. Her screen credits include “Portfolio,” “Dumb Luck in Vegas,” and “Art Be Damned!” Emberg met Stewart in 1983, and the two were living together by 1985. Their relationship ended in 1990 after they had welcomed their daughter, Ruby Stewart.

The separation soon entered a Los Angeles courtroom. Emberg filed a $25 million palimony claim, arguing that an agreement entitled her to half the assets accumulated during their relationship, including properties in Holmby Hills and Epping, England.

In June 1992, Judge David Horowitz dismissed the case, finding no merit in the claim that Stewart had promised to support Emberg for life. Stewart had already married his next wife by then.

Emberg eventually built a different kind of enterprise. She now describes herself on Instagram as the founder and CEO of sun-protection sportswear company BESO Shade, as well as an enthusiastic gardener and pickleball player.

Rachel Hunter and a Proposal Over Tuna Sandwiches

Rachel Hunter was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on September 8, 1969. An illness ended her childhood plans to become a ballet dancer, but modeling carried her from New Zealand to international magazine covers and eventually into acting.

Hunter was 21 when she met Stewart, who was 24 years older, in Los Angeles. During a 1996 television interview, she confirmed that he proposed only three weeks after they met, and that he did it over tuna fish sandwiches.

They married in Beverly Hills on December 15, 1990, three months into their romance. Their children, Renée Stewart and Liam Stewart, arrived in 1992 and 1994.

In a 1993 profile, Hunter described herself as the practical partner who kept their household organized. She also defended Stewart as an attentive father and welcomed his older children without trying to replace their mothers.

The couple separated in January 1999 after eight years together, although their divorce was not finalized until November 2009. Hunter later hosted “Rachel Hunter’s Tour of Beauty,” judged “New Zealand’s Got Talent,” and entered the South African jungle for the 2026 Australian season of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”

Her engagement to hockey player Jarret Stoll ended seven weeks before their planned 2009 wedding. As of 2026, Hunter had not publicly confirmed another relationship.

Penny Lancaster and the Small Rituals That Lasted

Penny Lancaster met Stewart in a nightclub after her friends dared her to request an autograph. When she mentioned studying photography, he invited her to photograph his concert the following night, a polished pickup line she later described in an interview as “crafty.”

But they did not meet again for nine months. When Stewart finally left a message on her landline asking to see her, Lancaster arrived for their reunion completely covered in brown pleather trousers, a rollneck, and a buttoned jacket because she wanted him to understand there was more to discover.

After five years together, Stewart proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on March 9, 2005. “I left it this long because I wanted to get it right this time,” he said in a statement confirmed by People.

The couple married in 2007 and became parents to Alastair Stewart and Aiden Stewart after Lancaster endured two miscarriages and underwent IVF for their younger son. Their relationship has lasted through deliberate attention rather than one grand romantic trick.

Lancaster said they made a pact never to spend more than 10 days apart. She also told the Mirror that they protect time for meals together and regularly check in with each other amid work and parenting.

Those modest acts of care became their real marital secret. A bath waiting after traffic, a glass of wine, a phone call after work, or a cup of tea mattered because each showed that one partner had remembered the other.

Now, let’s get to know his eight children.

Sarah Streeter, His Firstborn, Reclaimed the Word “Dad”

Sarah Streeter learned at 18 that Stewart was her biological father. The revelation stunned her, especially because she already had the singer’s poster hanging in her bedroom. They met several times during her 20s, but their connection faded by the late 1980s.

Nearly 20 years of minimal contact followed, leaving Streeter with unhappiness and resentment as she watched his public family life from afar. After her adoptive mother, Evelyn Thubron, died in 2007, Stewart reached out.

Calls, emails, dinners, and family gatherings gradually brought Streeter closer to him, Penny Lancaster, and several of her half-siblings. Their changing language revealed how far they had come.

Stewart told the Standard, “We’ve just began to call each other ‘father and daughter’, which was hard because I didn’t change nappies or take her to school, or help her do her homework.”

Streeter initially struggled to call him “Dad” because that name already belonged to Gerald Thubron, the man who raised her. Eventually, she accepted that both relationships could hold different places in her life.

Her bond with Boffey remained broken. Streeter said their personalities and expectations clashed when they met, while Boffey’s failure to acknowledge her adoptive mother’s death caused deeper hurt.

She also objected when Boffey linked her failed romantic relationships to unresolved feelings about Stewart. In the Daily Mail, Streeter insisted those relationships ended for reasons unrelated to her father. “I used to be like Susannah, full of resentment,” she admitted.

Although Streeter did not completely rule out reconciliation, she said Boffey would need to let go of her negativity first.

Kimberly Stewart, His Daughter With Alana Stewart, Became a Mother of Two

Kimberly Stewart was born in Holmby Hills, California, on August 20, 1979. Her screen work includes “Pacific Blue,” “Undeclared,” and “Lost Lake.”

Kimberly shares daughter Delilah Genoveva Stewart Del Toro, one of Stewart’s grandchildren, with actor Benicio del Toro and later welcomed a son whose life she has kept private. She continues to share selected glimpses of her family and work on social media.

Sean Stewart, His Son With Alana, Followed Music Into Reality Television

Sean Stewart grew up in Los Angeles and pursued songwriting, performing, modeling, and television production. He co-wrote and sang “In Crowd,” the theme for the 2006 A&E reality series “Sons of Hollywood,” in which he also appeared.

His career included runway appearances for Rock & Republic and Nico & Adrian. He married Jody Weintraub on February 14, 2023, though she later filed for divorce, and he continues to document parts of his life online.

Ruby Stewart, His Daughter With Kelly, Revealed the New Baby’s Name

Ruby Stewart became a musician and mother, welcoming son Otis Kalick with husband Jake Kalick before expanding her family in August 2026. On August 9, she announced that her second child had arrived five days earlier.

Levi Rhodes Kalick was born at 6:58 p.m. on August 4, weighing nine pounds and measuring 20 inches. In her announcement, Ruby explained that Levi means “My Heart.”

“Seeing Otis and Levi meet for the first time might have been the greatest experience of my life so far.”

The post gave Stewart another grandson and Otis a younger brother. For a family formed across several relationships and generations, the name’s meaning carried an especially tender weight.

Renée Stewart, His Daughter With Rachel, Built a Life Around Movement

Renée Stewart trained at the London Contemporary Dance School and completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training in India. Her work now connects dance, meditation, digital instruction, and wellness.

‘All That’ Actress Christy Knowings, 46, Dies After Sudden Health Crisis — Cast Members React

The comedy star spent years bringing outlandish characters to life, but her final days unfolded with a speed and severity few could have anticipated. A medical emergency left her family facing an agonizing decision only days after she entered the hospital.

Christy Knowings, best known for her work on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” died Tuesday night at 46. As news of her death spread, former castmates shared memories that showed how much of herself she gave both on camera and away from it.

A Sudden Emergency Became a Family’s Worst Fear

Knowings was hospitalized on Friday, August 7, 2026, after suffering an asthma attack, according to information a family member provided to TMZ. The attack caused brain damage, and she was placed on life support.

She remained on life support through Tuesday, August 11. Her family then made the painful decision to remove her from it, and Knowings died that night at a hospital in the Los Angeles area.

For many viewers, especially those who grew up watching Nickelodeon in the late 1990s, her death meant losing one of the performers who helped define an important period of childhood television.

She Found Her Place in a Famous Comedy Family

Born in the Bronx, Knowings appeared in “And Now This,” a Rosie O’Donnell sketch-comedy special produced by Nickelodeon, before joining “All That” in 1997. She remained a regular cast member for three seasons, through 2000.

The series brought Knowings into an ensemble that included Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, and other young performers. Its cast helped turn “All That” into one of Nickelodeon’s signature shows.

The sketch series also produced several spinoffs, including “Kenan & Kel,” “The Amanda Show,” and “The Nick Cannon Show.” Knowings became part of that wider legacy through characters whose exaggerated personalities suited her bold approach to comedy.

Among her best-known roles were Penny Lane and Jessica. Jessica appeared alongside Bynes’ character in the recurring “Whateverrr!!!” sketches, which centered on two excitable girls with strong opinions and shared celebrity crushes.

Her career also extended beyond “All That.” Knowings appeared in three episodes of “Sesame Street” with her real-life twin brother, Chris Knowings. In 2020, she released the folk single “To the World,” adding music to a creative life most closely associated with acting and comedy.

The tributes that followed her death revealed another part of her story. Behind the memorable characters was a woman her colleagues considered kind, supportive, and impossible to overlook once a scene began.

Her Nickelodeon Family Remembers Her

Mitchell, who worked alongside Knowings on “All That,” praised the individuality behind her performances. He remembered a naturally funny comedian who was willing to take risks and build characters entirely her own way.

“Christy was truly one of a kind,” Mitchell wrote in his farewell post. “She had a gift for creating characters that were big, memorable, and completely her own.”

Mitchell said he remained grateful for their laughter and their time together as members of the “All That” family. He thanked Knowings for the joy she gave audiences and sent his love to her relatives and friends.

Thompson also expressed shock over the loss of his former “All That” colleague. “Never could have imagined this day!!” Thompson wrote in his remembrance. “She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!!”

The “SNL” star asked followers to show Knowings love and said he would miss his friend. Josh Server remembered how naturally Knowings entered an already established cast. Although she joined later in the show’s original run, he said she immediately found her rhythm.

“Christy was a light in every room and was such a kind soul,” Server wrote in an Instagram tribute. “Every time we performed she made every one around her better.”

Lisa Foiles joined “All That” after Knowings’ time on the program, but Knowings had already influenced her long before they met. Foiles said she closely studied the earlier performer’s expressions and complete dedication to every joke.

“Christy was mesmerizing to me on All That,” Foiles wrote in an Instagram reel. “I dreamed of being in her shoes, and even when I joined the show, I knew they were impossibly big shoes to fill.”

Foiles eventually met the performer she had admired and discovered that her kindness matched her talent. She encouraged fans to spend time watching Knowings make them laugh, directing their grief back toward the work that first connected them.

Angelique Bates‘ tribute revealed an even more private side of Knowings’ life. Bates, an original “All That” cast member, said their relationship had grown into a close bond that continued even away from Nickelodeon. “I lost my SISTER,” Bates wrote in her personal tribute. “This SISTERHOOD was beyond ALL THAT.”

The women spoke for hours and consistently supported each other’s work. Bates shared that Knowings had traveled a considerable distance only months earlier to attend an event for which Bates was working as the publicist.

Bates said she was grateful that she and Latangela Newsome repeatedly told Knowings how talented and loved she was. Her message closed with a direct request: “Don’t EVER forget her name!

The praise from Mitchell, Thompson, Server, Foiles, and Bates also pointed toward the same quality: Knowings left a lasting impression whether someone worked beside her, followed her into the cast, or knew her away from the cameras.

Her own reflections from years earlier help explain why that impression lasted.

Her Favorite Character Followed Her Off Camera

In a 2019 Bustle interview, Knowings spoke with delight about the freedom “All That” gave her. She singled out Gloria Bankhead as her favorite character.

Gloria, whom Knowings played during Season 6, was an exaggerated take on Martha Stewart. The role allowed her to try a kind of performance she had never attempted before.

Knowings recalled staying in character throughout the workday, even when cameras were not rolling. Writers and stage managers embraced the bit and greeted her as Gloria around the set.

Some of her fondest memories involved the musical guests who visited “All That.” When 98 Degrees appeared, Knowings entertained the group backstage by guessing their zodiac signs and pretending to read their palms.

She also remembered meeting the Spice Girls. One of her castmates was so excited that he repeatedly struggled to deliver his line, though Knowings said the visiting performers were patient about it.

Those memories offered a glimpse of a production that could feel like a child’s fantasy while still carrying the demands of a professional television set. Knowings understood both sides, but the stories she preserved were rooted in laughter and spontaneous play.

Her Work Carried More Meaning Than She First Realized

Knowings later recognized that her presence on television mattered to young viewers who rarely saw themselves represented in children’s sketch comedy. She identified herself as Native American Afro-Latina and said her Bronx background helped her bring details to the show that its writers might not otherwise have known.

She and Thompson could contribute cultural touches drawn from their own experiences. Knowings specifically remembered “Inconvenience Store” as a sketch that included elements audiences understand more readily now than they did at the time.

The show welcomed those contributions. For Knowings, that made the comedy more authentic and allowed the cast’s differences to become a creative advantage.

The full impact became clearer when Black viewers who watched her seasons told her they had paid particular attention to her. Knowings had been the only Black girl in the cast when she joined, a responsibility she had not completely understood while filming.

Oprah Winfrey Makes Rare Outing with Her Partner of 40 Years — and Netizens Can’t Agree on What They See in the Photos

The acclaimed TV host and media mogul reunited with her former Harpo team in Chicago — and her longtime partner was by her side for the rare public appearance.

The gathering marked the approaching 40th anniversary of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” but new images of Winfrey and businessman Stedman Graham soon prompted a separate conversation online.

On August 10, 2026, Winfrey shared footage from the reunion on Instagram, explaining that former Harpo parking manager Ty Owens had brought past employees together in Chicago. “I can’t believe that this September 8 marks 40 years since The Oprah Show debuted!” she wrote.

Winfrey thanked Owens for organizing the gathering and former personal chef Art Smith for hosting it at his Chicago restaurant, Reunion. She also praised her former Harpo colleagues, calling them “the greatest team ever.”

“And to ‘all my children’ who got raised from The Oprah Show by me, your mamas, and grandmamas, we’ll celebrate on the @oprahpodcast in September!” Winfrey added.

Winfrey’s friend Jill Van Lokeren shared additional images from the event on the same platform. She described the reunion as “a night of all love and pure joy” and thanked Winfrey, Smith and Owens.

The Reunion Put Winfrey and Graham Side by Side Again

The images show Winfrey standing between Graham and Smith as the group gathered around a large platter of fried chicken.

Winfrey wore a light pinstriped suit with a pale blouse, white sneakers and tinted sunglasses. Her hair fell in loose waves around her shoulders. Graham stood beside her in a dark suit with an open-collar white shirt. He wore his gray hair short and kept his familiar mustache.

The New Photos Sparked Conflicting Reactions

Once the latest images circulated, netizens began offering very different interpretations of what they saw. On Facebook, one netizen said, “He doesn’t look like he wants to be there.”

In a separate discussion, another commenter focused on Winfrey, writing, “Wow, Oprah shrunk and where did that hair go?” Someone else compared the couple’s appearance, saying, “They have the same hairline.” Another person zeroed in on Winfrey’s hairstyle: “Who did her hair? Oprah needs her bangs back….”

Other reactions centered more heavily on Graham. One viewer wrote, “He looks way older than her.” Another simply remarked, “So weird!” A different person appeared surprised that the man beside Winfrey was Graham, asking, “Is that him!😳”

One person joked, “Bro looked like he just woke up after 7 years. lol. I love both of them.” Another viewer added, “Stedman looks like he can barely see right now…. 🤦🏾‍♂️”

The reunion photos appear to be the latest public images of Winfrey and Graham together. Before this outing, the couple had last been photographed together publicly at the Tyler Perry Studios Grand Opening Gala in Atlanta on October 5, 2019.

At the gala, Graham stood just behind Winfrey on the red carpet as she posed in a long dark gown and he wore a black suit and tie. In another photo from the event, Winfrey spoke with reporters while Graham remained nearby, with Tyler Perry standing beside her.

The public appearance also brings renewed focus to the decades-long relationship Oprah Winfrey and Graham have maintained largely outside the spotlight. Although they once planned to marry, the couple ultimately chose not to tie the knot and have remained together in an unconventional relationship.

How Oprah and Stedman Met

Despite being famous and influential, Winfrey chooses to keep her love life private. For over 30 years, Graham has been a critical support system for the show host. Their commitment and loyalty speak volumes. But, how did it all begin?

A young-looking Winfrey met Graham at a Chicago charity event in 1986. The TV host once said she noticed the entrepreneur moving around town with his girlfriend, but they found themselves single at a friend’s house one day.

The duo decided to step out and have a chat. Winfrey once reflected on their first interaction, noting she was not overly impressed at first, although she found him handsome, too handsome to be interested in her.

Recalling the moment, Winfrey said, “We left together, and I asked if he wanted to get a beer. (Yes, I drank a lot of beer then and wore cowboy boots every day.) He said he didn’t drink. (Still doesn’t—not one sip of nothin’ alcoholic since I’ve known him).”

The media mogul continued, “I thought he was nice enough, but I wasn’t that impressed. He was polite, yes, and kind. The sort of guy who sits with an ailing friend. Tall and handsome, for sure. But actually too handsome, I thought, to be interested in me.”

Before meeting Winfrey, Graham was married to Glenda, with whom he had a daughter, Wendy, in 1974. However, the “Oprah Winfrey Network” producer said to People magazine that her producers were wary of the former athlete and sportswear model. They thought he was a fraud.

It Took 6 Years Before Stedman Started Keeping ‘A Toothbrush at [Her] Apartment’

At first, Winfrey said she did not jump into a relationship with Graham. Her friends advised her to keep things simple with him until she was sure he was single and genuine.

The duo only began dating after Winfrey was sure she had made the right choice. However, gaining the trust of one of the most influential black women in the world isn’t an ordinary feat. It took months for Graham to prove his loyalty and support.

Winfrey later remarked that Graham was not one of those who wanted to ride in a limo, but instead, he was willing to “run and catch the bus” with her.

During the early months of their relationship, Graham traveled on weekends from his humble High Point apartment to her luxurious condo on Chicago’s Gold Coast.

Winfrey was headlining her show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” at the time. Graham began spending more time in Chicago, working with the non-profit Athletes Against Drugs, which he founded.

Things progressed sweetly between the lovers, but they made sure to safeguard their relationship from the prying eyes of the media. However, Graham sometimes made unannounced appearances on her show.

Graham made a surprise appearance on Winfrey’s show during a viewer Q&A. He dialed in to see whether Winfrey would spill the beans on what she told her close buddy Gayle King about their relationship.

Winfrey and Graham’s romance has been a sweet journey, but one with its fair share of controversies. First, the couple had to deal with media storms, including a false allegation that Graham was having an affair with Winfrey’s hairdresser, which a Chicago columnist spread.

The columnist, Ann Gerber, swiftly issued a retraction and apologized to Winfrey. The lovebirds have had several milestone moments in their relationship. One such moment came in 1991 when Winfrey finally allowed Graham to keep a toothbrush in her house after six years of dating.

Their 1992 proposal was another big moment in their lives. For years, Winfrey had been quizzed on her marriage plans. However, she gave no affirmative response until their engagement in 1992.

The former athlete proposed to Winfrey in style. Winfrey was waiting for Graham to arrive from Chicago and was hanging out in her kitchen with Gayle King. She stepped outside to meet Graham and was stunned when he proposed to her.

Their conversation seemed too casual for a proposal. The pair kept their engagement a secret for a few weeks until Winfrey revealed it during a November guest appearance on King’s TV show.

Why Oprah Will Never Marry Stedman

In her 2020 piece about her romance with Graham, Winfrey recalled the instant joy of being proposed to and then realized she loved her relationship with him as it was.

The media mogul realized she had doubts about being married. In addition, the 68-year-old said she did not want to make the sacrifices of being married. For Winfrey, her show was her priority.

Despite pressure from her famous friends like Tina Turner, Winfrey believes marriage is not for her. However, after attending Turner’s wedding in Germany, the show host considered marrying Graham but had a change of heart.

Winfrey admits that she and Graham would not have lasted if they had married. But, according to the media star, her relationship with the former model is so odd that it wouldn’t have fit inside the boundaries of marriage.

Winfrey said of her decision to stay unmarried, “If you ever interviewed him, he would tell you that had we married, we would not be together today. Because he’s a traditional man, and this is a very untraditional relationship.” The show host believes she does not fit in with the demands of a “wife.”

Their Unconventional Relationship

Although they never got married, Winfrey and Graham enjoy a supportive relationship. According to the longtime presenter, her boyfriend respects her fame and never tries to compete.

Speaking of their relationship, Winfrey said, “I happen to be with a man who has always appreciated the fact that I was…considered a powerful person. [He’s] not trying to crowd in on it, not competing with it. He knows how to hold his own.”

Although she struggled with her physical appearance, Winfrey said Graham was supportive and helped build her confidence. The TV legend remarkably shed some weight but claimed it was not done for her boyfriend.

Winfrey said she did it for herself, even though she loves Graham. She said, “I love Stedman very much. And he cares about me and has been very supportive of me, fat and thin.”

Winfrey believes weight loss should be self-motivated. But, she added, “I did not do this for Stedman…You know you cannot do it [lose weight] for anybody but yourself.”

The couple is now grandparents to Wendy’s child, and the experience has been a lovely one for Winfrey. The media mogul loves her world just the way it is.

Barry Manilow, 83, Opens Up About Work Done on His Face — AI Reveals What He’d Look Like Without It — Photos

The acclaimed singer has been photographed for more than five decades, giving fans an unusually detailed record of how his appearance has changed with age.

Barry Manilow has finally answered questions about his appearance in his own words. His comments follow years of surgeon analysis and online scrutiny and set up a revealing Artificial Intelligence (AI) comparison.

The singer was born Barry Alan Pincus on June 17, 1943, in New York City, according to IMDb. He grew up in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood and began playing piano and accordion at age 7.

After high school, Manilow attended the Juilliard School of Music. He helped pay for his education by working in the CBS mail room, then became musical director of the CBS program “Callback.”

He also wrote, produced, and performed advertising jingles. Those short commercial songs gave him an early lesson in writing music that had to connect immediately.

In a previous interview with NPR, Manilow said jingles taught him how to build a pop song. “You’ve got to grab the listener within the first 15 seconds,” he said. He later credited those years with helping him learn how to write memorable hooks.

‘Mandy’ Made Manilow a Familiar Face

According to AllMusic, Manilow’s career took off after he met singer and actress Bette Midler in 1971. She hired him as her pianist, arranger, and musical director, and the job helped him secure a record deal of his own.

His breakthrough came with “Mandy,” which reached No. 1 in early 1975. More major hits followed, including “I Write the Songs,” “Looks Like We Made It,” “Can’t Smile Without You,” and “Copacabana.”

By the late 1970s, Manilow was a regular presence on television and concert stages. His live album reached No. 1, and his first ABC prime-time special won an Emmy.

That exposure made his face familiar to millions and created an extensive visual record that would later fuel comparisons of how he aged.

Decades of Performances Kept Him in Public View

Manilow’s pop-chart dominance eased in the 1980s, but he continued recording, touring, and expanding into jazz, swing, standards, and musical theater.

His later career included the musicals “Copacabana” and “Harmony,” while “The Greatest Songs of the Fifties” reached No. 1 in 2006 and “Night Songs” reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2014.

In 2021, he began a lengthy residency at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas, extending a public career that had already produced decades of photographs for fans to compare.

A Plastic Surgeon Compared Manilow’s Face Over the Years

In 2022, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie reviewed photographs of Manilow from different stages of his life.

He began with images from Manilow’s 20s, 30s, and early 40s and said he saw few major differences. One feature appeared especially consistent.

“I don’t think his nose has really changed at all throughout the years,” Motykie said.

He also noted that Manilow had naturally heavy upper eyelids when he was younger. By his 50s, Motykie thought the jawline looked more sculpted, and the ears appeared altered enough to make him suspicious of a facelift.

The eye area also looked different to him. Motykie said Manilow’s upper eyelids appeared less heavy and more open than in earlier photographs, leading him to consider an upper blepharoplasty as one possible explanation. He was less convinced that Manilow had undergone a brow lift.

In later images, Motykie focused on Manilow’s cheeks, which appeared fuller. He suggested fat grafting or filler as possible explanations.

One group of photographs drew a stronger reaction from the surgeon. Motykie said Manilow’s cheeks and midface looked more rounded, while the neckline appeared tighter and the area around the eyes more elevated.

He described Manilow as looking “poofy” and “overdone” in those images. Motykie acknowledged that swelling or weight gain can make a face appear fuller, but he said those factors did not fully explain what he believed he was seeing.

He also noticed that Manilow’s teeth appeared larger and whiter in later photographs and suggested veneers as a possible reason.

By Manilow’s mid-70s, Motykie thought the fuller appearance had eased. “I think he’s aging more gracefully,” he said.

Motykie also said plastic surgery techniques for men had improved over the decades. Earlier procedures, he explained, were not always tailored carefully to male facial structure, while newer approaches tend to be more conservative.

Throughout the review, he kept returning to Manilow’s nose as the feature that remained most consistent. “He didn’t modify the one character feature about his face that leaves him as Barry Manilow,” Motykie said.

His 2023 Rockefeller Performance Put His Appearance Back Under Scrutiny

Manilow’s appearance became a subject of online discussion again in November 2023. He performed at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony in New York City.

Some viewers posted about his face while watching the broadcast.

On X, a user was horrified to see Manilow’s face, commenting“Who stole Barry Manilow’s lips?” while another wrote“Watching the NY tree lighting and I’m fairly certain Barry Manilow might have had one too many Botox injections.”

Someone else stated“Barry Manilow can’t move his face at this Rockefeller tree lighting event 😭 his surgeon did a p good job tho [sic].” Another urged people to stop, asking, “Hey, man, lay off Barry Manilow! He’s an American icon!”

One person pointed out, “I’m seeing all these mean tweets about #BarryManilow. I saw him in concert this year and he was absolutely fantastic- just as exciting today as when I saw him in 1976. Give the guy a break re:plastic surgery. It’s hard enough to age without having to do it in front of the world.”

The Rockefeller appearance came only months after Manilow turned 80 that year. He said the milestone surprised him because he had never imagined himself reaching that age and did not feel like an 80-year-old.

Manilow said he had pictured people his age as looking much older and spending their days in retirement. His own schedule was the opposite. He continued working at a heavy pace, including a seven-show run, a mini tour, and nearly 60 performances tied to his Las Vegas residency.

A Health Diagnosis Interrupted His Performance Schedule

In late 2025, Manilow announced a health problem that directly affected his ability to work. He wrote on Instagram that he had gone through six weeks of bronchitis, followed by another five-week relapse.

Even after he recovered and returned to the Westgate stage in Las Vegas, his doctor ordered an MRI. “The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed,” Manilow wrote. “It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.”

The surgery forced him to move concerts scheduled for January. Manilow apologized to fans who had already made travel and ticket plans.

“I’m very sorry that you have to change your plans,” he wrote. “Just like you, we were all looking forward to the January shows and hate having to move everything around.”

The cancer was caught early enough that Manilow said he would not need chemotherapy. By June 2026, the surgery was behind him, but another problem remained. His singing voice had become raspier.

By 2020, Manilow was continuing to perform even as his career moved into its sixth decade. Five years later, a lung cancer diagnosis would interrupt that schedule and eventually affect the singing voice he had relied on for most of his life. | Source: Getty Images

Manilow told NPR that surgeons passed through his vocal cords while removing part of his lung. “They promised me that they were very gentle and they didn’t hurt my vocal cords,” he said. “But I’m not so sure.”

Only four months had passed since the operation. Manilow said doctors told him recovery could take a year. He was already working to strengthen his voice and hoped to return to the stage.

He also had a new album ready. “What a Time,” recorded before surgery, was his first album of newly written songs in nearly 15 years. “This album is filled with my favorite, favorite songs that I’ve ever written,” he told NPR. “And I’m so happy there’s now a place for them.”

During another interview around the same period, Manilow finally gave a direct answer to questions about his face.

Manilow Confirmed One Cosmetic Procedure

In May 2026, the Los Angeles Times asked Manilow whether his health and age might eventually force him to stop performing. Manilow said he was “on the verge” but was getting stronger. He then commented on his appearance.

“I look fantastic, but I’m a hundred years old, right?” Manilow said. “I don’t know how that happened, by the way – I don’t get Botox or anything.”

The interviewer followed up by asking whether he had undergone any work. “No!” Manilow initially replied. He immediately added a qualification.

“There was one time when we lived in L.A. that I did do a facelift,” he said. He then explained what he meant by “work.”

“‘Work’ is like a facelift, and I only had one of those,” he said. “The rest of it – I see something falling down, sure, I’ll do that. I’m as vain as anybody else.”

Manilow also joked about the way people reacted to his appearance. He recalled an old friend’s mother saying, “I always knew he was talented, but when did he get so handsome?”

His answer settled part of the speculation that had followed him for years. It also raised a visual question: How might Manilow look at 83 if his face showed more of the changes associated with natural aging?

AI Photos Imagine How Manilow Might Look Without Cosmetic Work

The AI-generated images imagine Manilow with more visible signs of aging in his face.

The clearest differences appear around his jaw, cheeks, eyes, and neck. In several images, his jawline looks softer, his cheeks sit lower, and the skin beneath his chin appears looser.

The renderings also add deeper folds around his mouth and more pronounced lines across his forehead. His upper eyelids look heavier in some versions, while the skin beneath his eyes appears more creased and hollow.

His cheeks vary from image to image. Some versions make his face look thinner, with less volume through the midface. Others keep more fullness but place it lower, which creates a heavier look around the jaw.

Madonna Once Said She Didn’t Think She Was Beautiful — AI Now Imagines How She Might Have Aged Naturally — Photos

Madonna has reinvented her image for decades, but changes to her face have fueled a more personal debate over beauty, aging, and what might have been.

Doctors have offered theories, fans have scrutinized her appearance, and Madonna has challenged her critics. Now, AI imagines a different path for her face.

Long before Madonna became one of pop music’s most recognizable figures, she struggled with how she saw herself.

In a mid-1980s interview with actor Harry Dean Stanton, later republished by Interview magazine, Madonna spoke candidly about the insecurity she carried as a teenager. Before finding a sense of purpose, she said, she questioned both her appearance and her abilities.

“Before I started feeling devoted to dancing, I didn’t really like myself very much,” Madonna recalled. “I didn’t think I was beautiful or talented.”

She said she spent much of that period feeling that she did not fit in at school and resenting her parents’ authority. “I really had a lot of self-hatred,” she said.

Dance gave her a way to redirect those feelings. Madonna described herself as “unmolded clay” and said she gradually realized that work, discipline, and help from others could allow her to transform herself.

“When I started having a dream, and working toward that goal, having a sense of discipline, I started to really like myself for the first time,” she said.

That growing confidence became part of a broader outlook. Madonna told Stanton that she believed in herself because she had started as “a little girl from Michigan” with a dream, worked hard, and watched that dream become reality.

Born Madonna Louise Ciccone on August 16, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan, she moved to New York in 1978 and pursued dance, according to IMDb. She studied with choreographer Alvin Ailey and later joined the Patrick Hernandez Revue.

Her ambitions soon expanded into music. Madonna became involved with Breakfast Club and later worked with Stephen Bray on dance-oriented recordings. Producer and DJ Mark Kamins eventually passed her demos to Sire Records in early 1982.

The breakthrough that followed transformed the aspiring dancer into an international star. Through the 1980s, Madonna’s music, fashion, performances, and changing image made her one of the era’s most influential pop figures.

Reinvention became central to that public identity.

Experts Examined Madonna’s Face – and Saw Several Possible Changes

By October 2022, speculation about Madonna’s changing appearance had intensified. Page Six consulted three medical and aesthetic professionals, who compared photographs of the singer and offered their views on the cosmetic work she may have undergone.

Dr. Ehsan Ali, Dr. Ramtin Kassir, and physician associate Pamela Weinberger had not treated Madonna. Their assessments were based on photographs of the singer rather than firsthand knowledge of the procedures she may have undergone.

Ali believed several features pointed to possible cosmetic work.

“She for sure had a facelift,” Ali said. “You can see her skin is pulled back and tightened, with no loose skin and no wrinkles. A facelift also alters the shape of your eyes, which you can see in her image, her eyes seem ‘pulled back.'”

He also suspected that her nose had been surgically altered and believed Botox could explain the appearance of her forehead and the areas around her eyes and between her eyebrows.

Kassir independently focused on Madonna’s nose. He said it appeared unusually narrow, with a more pointed tip than in earlier photographs. But the nose was only one part of the change he believed he could see.

Her facial proportions also caught his attention. Kassir described Madonna’s overall facial shape as more exaggerated, with cheeks that appeared particularly high and full.

The fullness of her cheeks led Weinberger to a different part of the cosmetic discussion: filler.

She believed repeated filler treatments may have created excess volume in Madonna’s cheeks and temples. Too much filler, she explained, can begin to obscure the underlying structure of a person’s face rather than simply restore lost volume.

Ali also believed Madonna’s cheekbones looked “completely different” from when she was younger. He suspected filler had contributed to their more prominent appearance. The experts then moved beyond the center of her face.

Weinberger and Kassir both raised the possibility of a brow lift after examining Madonna’s brow and hairline. Weinberger also suggested Botox in the masseter muscles may have helped create a narrower appearance through the jaw.

Ali focused instead on the definition of Madonna’s lower face. He believed the sharpness of her jawline could be consistent with liposuction beneath the chin and a neck lift.

Kassir nevertheless believed the overall effect was significant. “Overall, she looks like she has taken plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures a little too far,” he said.

Then One Grammys Appearance Changed the Conversation

Madonna’s appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards brought another surge of commentary about her face.

On X, one netizen wrote, “#GRAMMYs I really wish Madonna never touched her face. There really was no reason. She was going to age beautifully. She’s always been beautiful. #Stopplayingwithyallface #Grammys2023 #Madonna [sic]”

Another commenter connected the issue to Madonna’s history of challenging convention: “She could have redefined what growing older looks like as she redefined a lot of other things. Guess I was kinda hoping for some trailblazing here…”

Others questioned whether the public scrutiny itself was part of the problem. “I wonder if it has anything to do with the constant commentary on her appearance from people who should know better,” one user wrote.

Another remarked, “Such a shame!” A fifth commenter wrote, “It was pretty cruel of them to give comparison photos behind her. She really was aging well. It’s so sad she didn’t see it.”

The reaction continued on Instagram“Noooo more stuff in the face please my sexy star since I was a Lil girl…..girls just wanna have fun. Please your already beautiful no more needle…no disrespect [sic],” one person wrote. Another asked, “So sad 😢 what happen to you?”

One commenter claimed, “This is so sad to see her looking this way, she’s had that much work done her eyes don’t move and she looks like she’s got zero movement in her face, come on Madge you once said you would never have plastic surgery what the hell happened, you don’t look good hun you look like a wax work.”

Another wrote, “Just horrific…why did she do this to herself. She looked better before.” A different user said, “She looks scary and I am going to have nightmares tonight…she was so beautiful, why would she do this to herself?!?!”

“You have ruined yourself. You dont even look like yourself[sic],” another wrote, while someone else commented, “Wow eyes give it away.”

One longer response suggested public pressure had played a role: “Daw, you really fell victim to the pressures of self and the public eye to where you’ve injected your face to the cheap standards of modern day sold expectations? 😢 I’d defend your right to freedom if only you remained free….”

Madonna Had a Very Different Explanation for Her Appearance

In a February 2023 Instagram post, Madonna said the fixation on her appearance had overshadowed the reason she was at the Grammys.

She had introduced Sam Smith and Kim Petras before their performance. Madonna described Petras’ appearance as a “History making moment!!” and said she wanted attention focused on artists willing to take risks.

Instead, she said, many people discussed close-up photographs of her taken with a long-lens camera that “Would distort anyone’s face!!”

“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny That permeates the world we live in,” Madonna wrote.

She argued that society refuses to celebrate women past 45 and instead punishes them when they remain “strong willed, hard-working and adventurous.”

Madonna also made clear that she did not intend to change her approach because of the criticism.

“I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start,” she wrote.

Days later, she addressed the attention with humor. In an X post, Madonna shared a photo of herself seated with her arms crossed. She wore a black cap, dark jacket, ripped jeans, and long orange braids.

“Look how cute i am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol 😂,” she wrote.

Two Years Later, a Surgeon Noticed Something Had Changed

In May 2025, plastic surgeon Dr. Steven R. Cohen reviewed more recent images of Madonna following the Met Gala and compared them with her appearance roughly two years earlier.

“Two years ago, she looked overfilled,” Cohen said in a TikTok video. “Now, she looks normal.”

The difference led Cohen to consider what might have changed. He questioned whether some of Madonna’s filler had been reversed, but he also raised another possibility: weight loss associated with a medication such as Ozempic.

Cohen did not claim that Madonna had dissolved filler or used the drug. Instead, he presented both as possible explanations for the changes he believed he could see in photographs.

His attention then shifted to specific areas of her face. Cohen noted some hollowing around the upper and lower eyelids, along with extra skin and deeper nasolabial folds – the creases that extend from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth.

Then, in August 2025, Page Six reported that Madonna may have been moving toward a less sculpted appearance.

An unnamed insider claimed her boyfriend, Akeem Morris, had encouraged her to move away from fillers and augmentations.

“She’s starting to listen to Akeem, who tells her she’s beautiful,” the source said. “She doesn’t normally listen to anyone but she does him.” According to the insider, Madonna wanted to “own being 67 rather than trying to look 27.”

The source said she was instead trying LED lights, oxygen facials, and lymphatic drainage. “Her face is so iconic that it needs to look like her,” the insider said. The source added that Madonna wanted her appearance to look “more natural,” “less sculpted,” and wanted her face “to move.”

Still, it raised a question that years of photographs and public debate cannot answer: What might Madonna look like now if her face had aged differently?

Nancy Guthrie’s Case May Be Linked to Another Neighborhood Incident – New Details

Something small happened first, the kind of thing most people would brush off. A light came on, a sensor tripped, and for a brief moment, someone was where they should not have been.

Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “TODAY” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for almost a week. But a chilling new story from an elderly neighbor could finally give investigators the break they’ve been waiting for.

Meanwhile, a heart-wrenching plea from Savannah and her siblings, where they address the online rumors, has underscored just how urgent this search has become.

A Silent Motion, Then Panic

It happened weeks before Nancy’s disappearance. A local man was settling in for the night at his home in Tucson, Arizona, when something small caught his attention: a motion sensor snapped on without warning.

Moments later, a floodlight lit up his yard. That was when he saw a man just standing there.

Speaking to TMZ, the elderly neighbor said “the loiterer” bolted and fled on foot into the night. Although nothing was stolen and technically there was no damage done, the fear lingered.

But now, it feels like something more.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the encounter happened less than ten minutes from Nancy’s home. That proximity has placed the mysterious intruder at the center of the wider investigation.

The case has since been forwarded to the detectives handling Nancy’s disappearance to see if they can find any connections.

A Devastating Absence

This whole nightmare began when Nancy failed to show up for her usual church service, something completely out of character for the beloved matriarch.

Investigators now believe she was taken from her house sometime between Saturday night, January 31, 2026, and Sunday morning, February 1. Naturally, the news sent shockwaves through her neighborhood and beyond.

Neighbors describe the area as safe and peaceful. The kind of place where something like this isn’t supposed to happen. Resident, Jeff Lamie, 59, told PEOPLE, “We’re in shock. This is really shocking. We just hope that she returns safely.”

The Sheriff Speaks as Questions Mount

Despite growing attention and increasing pressure, authorities have not named a suspect. In a public statement posted to X, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office reminded the public that no “person of interest” has been identified and urged people not to share unconfirmed information.

But there is still hope. Officials have said they have no reason to believe Nancy is deceased, and the investigation remains focused on bringing her home alive.

Sheriff Chris Nanos echoed this belief in a statement to NBC News:

“We have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here, she’s present, she’s alive, and we want to save her.”

Despite that reassurance, her family is only getting more desperate.

The Guthrie Siblings Plead for Their Mother

Now, for the first time, her family is speaking out in full. In a deeply emotional statement, Savannah and her siblings shared their heartbreak and determination to do whatever it takes to bring their mother home.

In a video posted on Instagram, the journalist poured her heart out, thanking everyone for the flood of prayers surrounding her mother. She shared that the family feels every bit of that spiritual energy and firmly believes that Nancy senses that overwhelming love, too.

She then described Nancy with raw, aching love, “Our mother is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light. […] Talk to her and you’ll see.”

Her sister, Annie Guthrie, continued, “The light is missing from our lives.” She also spoke of her resilience, her strength, and her refusal to let life’s hardships break her spirit.

Then came the most heartwrenching part that speaks for every child around the world. “We are always going to be merely human, just normal human people who need our mom,” Annie said while reading from a script as her sister sniffled.

She sent a desperate plea to Nancy, begging her mother to come home because the family misses her so much. And then Savannah began speaking again, focusing on how important it was to find Nancy as soon as possible.

“Our mom is our heart and our home. She is 84 years old. Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. She needs it not to suffer,” she said.

Then Savannah addressed the online rumors that had been heavily circulating in the last few days, seemingly speaking directly to whoever may have done this.

“We too have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media. As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk.”

But they also made one thing heartbreakingly clear: they cannot act without proof, especially in an age of generative artificial intelligence and Photoshop.

“We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us,” Savannah pleaded.

Finally, she closed with another powerful message to Nancy: “Everyone is looking for you, Mommy, everywhere. We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again.”

Their brother, Camron Guthrie, sent their love and asked their mother to stay strong.

As of now, investigators have not confirmed if the shadowy figure caught on a motion sensor weeks before is connected to Nancy’s disappearance. What is clear is that the case remains active, and the pain of not knowing anything about her continues to grow by the day.

What We Know So Far

Nancy was last seen Saturday night at her Tucson residence. According to the Los Angeles Times, when investigators later examined the home, law enforcement sources said they found blood inside the house.

Authorities have not determined whose blood was found, and officials have not said whether Nancy was injured.

As detectives continued processing the scene, another detail deepened concern. The sources, who were not authorized to discuss the case publicly, said there were signs of forced entry, suggesting someone may have entered the home before Nancy disappeared.

Despite that, investigators found no evidence that anything had been taken. All of Nancy’s personal belongings — including her wallet, cellphone, and car — were still at the house, even with the signs of forced entry.

That contradiction is now at the center of how investigators are approaching the case.

The Search Intensifies

Sheriff Chris Nanos of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) said investigators believe Nancy did not leave on her own. He also noted that she has limited mobility, making an unassisted departure unlikely.

At a news conference on Monday, February 2, the sheriff called on the public for help, asking for reports of anything out of the ordinary or any possible sightings of Nancy.

A tip line has been established, and PCSD is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for images, videos, or information leading to the arrest of those responsible for her disappearance. “We don’t need another bad, tragic ending,” the sheriff said, “we need some help.”

Adding to the urgency, Nanos also warned that Nancy’s life is in immediate danger if she does not take a certain medication she requires every day.

He said investigators are not aware of any specific threats tied to Savannah in connection with her mother’s disappearance. “We’re doing all we can to try to locate her,” the sheriff added. “Every tool we have, we will use.”

Nanos also appealed directly to anyone who may be holding her, urging them to “just call us” and allow Nancy to be released, saying the family wants her returned with “no questions asked.”

Meanwhile, Savannah addressed the situation publicly on Instagram, where she asked the people to pray for her mother’s safe return home:

“thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment.”

The remarks came as authorities outlined how their assessment of the case had changed.

As previously reported, during a press conference, the PCSD said investigators processed the scene inside Nancy’s home, leading them to believe a crime had occurred.

That assessment changed after investigators processed the home. “As I said yesterday, we saw some things at the home that were concerning to us. We […] do in fact have a crime scene. [..] We do in fact have a crime,” Nanos stated.

The shift also heightened concern because of Nancy’s medical needs.

Why Investigators Believe the Circumstances Are Suspicious

Authorities emphasized that Nancy has physical ailments and requires daily medication. During the press conference, officials warned that she suffers from a condition that missing that medication for 24 hours “could be fatal.”

Time, the sheriff department says, is critical as they continue the investigation and ask the public for help. Nanos urged anyone who may have seen something to report it immediately, including taking photos or video if they believe they spot her, and to call 911 or submit an anonymous tip through 88 Crime.

Besides leaving without her medication, officials say other circumstances inside the home led them to believe Nancy did not leave on her own. Sergeant David Styver, speaking for the homicide team, said, “At this time, it’s still a very active investigation, and there were circumstances on scene that we believe are suspicious in nature.”

Nanos said he could not disclose what those circumstances were, explaining that releasing details would compromise the investigation.

No Dementia, No Confusion, and Why That Matters

Investigators made a point of addressing speculation about Nancy’s mental health.

Styver told reporters, “I want to stress to you — and it is really important — Miss Guthrie, Nancy Guthrie, is of great sound mind. This is not dementia-related. She is as sharp as a tack. The family wants everybody to know this isn’t somebody who just wandered off.”

Authorities said her limitations are physical, not cognitive, which is a key factor in how they are treating the case.

The Timeline Authorities Are Working From

According to authorities, Nancy was last seen at her home around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, when her children dropped her off and left her there

Jennifer Lopez Sparks Buzz After Curious Exchange with Savannah Guthrie on Live TV

A live TV moment between the pop icon and the morning news anchor took an unexpectedly sharp turn, and the internet caught every second of it.

Jennifer Lopez and British actor Brett Goldstein sat down with Savannah Guthrie on the “Today” show on June 2, 2026, to promote their upcoming Netflix rom-com “Office Romance.”

The conversation covered everything from on-screen chemistry to chart comebacks, but it was one particular moment between Lopez and Guthrie that looked a bit tense.

Savannah Guthrie Had Returned From a Personal Crisis

Before the cameras rolled on that June morning, Guthrie was already carrying a lot. According to Page Six, she had returned to the “Today” show in April 2026 after more than two months away, following the abduction of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, from her home in Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of February 1.

Behind the scenes, the atmosphere was described as deeply emotional, with colleagues offering hugs and Guthrie drawing comfort from the return to routine.

On-air, however, producers had instructed the cast to treat it as business as usual, with no formal acknowledgment of what had happened. “It is good to be home,” she said when she came back. “Ready or not, let’s do the news.”

Surprisingly, returning to that anchor chair had not dulled her instincts one bit, as Lopez was about to find out.

Brett Goldstein Wrote “Office Romance” With Only One Person in Mind

The June 2 segment opened on a warm note. Guthrie recounted how Goldstein’s devotion to Lopez’s 2001 film “The Wedding Planner” essentially set the whole project in motion, joking that his face lit up the moment the film appeared on TV.

Goldstein confirmed it himself. He and co-writer Joe Kelly had a clear vision: an old-school rom-com with, as he put it, “ruder jokes.” When it came time to figure out who could anchor it, there was no debate.

“We both, without hesitation, went JLo, obviously,” he said. The note they sent her along with the script left nothing open to interpretation: she was the only name on the list, and if she passed, the film was not getting made.

Lopez, a devoted “Ted Lasso” fan, said she was genuinely caught off guard. She had watched the show faithfully for the Roy and Keeley storyline, and learning that Goldstein had written something specifically for her felt surreal. “He wrote this for me? They wrote this for me?” she recalled thinking.

The singer also pointed out that “Office Romance” gives something rarely seen on screen: a Latina CEO at the center of a romantic story. Lopez said she thanked Goldstein directly for that choice, describing it as something she had long felt was missing from the genre.

The On-Screen Kiss That Sparked Real-Life Dating Rumors

When Guthrie asked how Goldstein could have known their on-screen chemistry would actually work, he was candid about the uncertainty. “You don’t know, you really don’t know,” he said.

Chemistry cannot be auditioned for, and signing on to make a film with someone is always a gamble. But from their very first Zoom call, something clicked immediately. They were laughing easily, and he knew the project would land.

Then Guthrie pulled out a special clip.

It was footage from Lopez’s recent appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” where host Andy Cohen had asked her to name her favorite on-screen kiss. Lopez’s answer: Goldstein, whom she called the best kisser she had ever worked with.

“Okay, let’s just play that again,” Goldstein joked once the clip ended, grinning. Guthrie quipped that she assumed he already had it saved on his phone.

Lopez laughed it off, explaining that Cohen has a way of cornering guests into saying things. “He always corners you into saying something, that’s why he’s good at his job,” she said.

Lopez Pushed Back Hard When Guthrie Pressed the Dating Question

That is where the segment shifted.

Guthrie pointed out what viewers had been speculating online: with a compliment like that on record, many people were convinced that Lopez and Goldstein were dating off-screen.

Lopez’s reply was measured at first. She noted that any time she is seen near someone, or working with someone, the rumors follow. Goldstein played along, joking that simply standing next to her was probably enough to land him in a headline.

But Guthrie was not ready to move on. She looked directly at Lopez and said, “That’s okay, but I’ll just say, cuz I’m me and you know me, that was not an answer.

Lopez fired back immediately, “That was not an answer? It was an answer!”

The smiles stayed on, but Lopez’s tone had sharpened noticeably. Her voice climbed as she pushed back, pointing out that she had been linked to countless people over the years, Kevin Costner among them. “It happens all the time,” she added.

Guthrie responded without expression, framing the scrutiny as something that comes with being a high-profile single woman. Still, both actors confirmed they were not dating, and the segment moved on. The moment was brief, but the charge behind it was hard to miss.

Goldstein Passed a Lopez Trivia Test That Would Stump Most Fans

After the tension cleared, the conversation moved into lighter territory. Lopez mentioned she had tried, and failed, to extract any spoilers from Goldstein about the forthcoming season of “Ted Lasso.” He held firm, even against Lopez’s best efforts, which she found both amusing and frustrating.

Then came the trivia round, but before it even started, Guthrie fumbled her notes and briefly lost her pages on camera. Lopez was quick to call it out, “You got flustered.”

The Production Facility Lindsey Graham Visited Days Before He Passed

The senator’s final trip abroad has taken on new weight now that he is gone, and the place he chose to visit says a lot about where his head was in those last days.

Lindsey Graham, the longtime Republican senator from South Carolina, spent part of his final overseas trip walking through a facility most Americans have never heard of. What he saw there, and what he said about it afterward, is only now getting fresh attention in the wake of his death.

Why Graham Was Abroad To Begin With

Graham had traveled to Ukraine on an official visit, part of a trip that took him straight into the heart of Kyiv. While there, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, July 10, 2026, alongside his House colleague, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Emeritus Michael McCaul.

Additionally, Graham held a press conference where he announced something Washington had been waiting on for a while. He said he had struck a deal with the White House that President Donald Trump’s administration was ready to back.

“I’m pleased to announce that, as of about 30 minutes ago, we’ve reached agreement with the White House on a version of the Russian sanctions bill that they will support,” Graham told reporters.

The senator explained the agreement meant the legislation could now move forward and become law, giving Trump fresh tools to help end a war that is now in its fifth year. Graham added that once he got back to Washington, he planned to work with Senator Richard Blumenthal to bring Republican and Democratic leaders together to schedule a vote.

That announcement alone would have made headlines on its own. But the next stop on his itinerary is the part people are talking about now.

Inside The Facility That Left Him Stunned

The day after his press conference, on July 11, Graham visited a production facility belonging to SkyFall, a Ukrainian defense company that builds some of the most recognizable drones on the battlefield.

According to SkyFall’s own account of the visit, the senator was walked through the development and manufacturing lines for the heavy Vampire bomber drone, several versions of the Shrike FPV drone, and the P1-SUN, a system built to intercept Shahed attack drones.

Graham was not just shown finished hardware. The company also briefed him on technology still in development that has not yet reached the front lines, along with a training program that prepares pilots, technicians, and instructors to operate Ukraine’s growing fleet of unmanned systems.

What He Said On His Way Out Still Rings Loud

Graham did not hold back his reaction. He called the facility one of the most advanced operations of its kind in the world.

He went further, warning that it “would be a big mistake” for the United States to skip out on drone cooperation with Ukraine. Coming from a senator who had just spent his trip pushing a sanctions package through Washington, the comment landed as more than a passing observation.

A Final Trip That Reads Differently Now

None of this seemed unusual at the time. Senators visit defense facilities and hold press conferences constantly, and Graham has made no secret of his focus on Ukraine for years.

But the timing means his tour through SkyFall’s production floor, and his blunt assessment of what the United States stood to lose by staying on the sidelines, ended up being among the last public statements he made before his death.

As previously reported, Graham had spent more than three decades as one of the Republican Party’s most recognizable figures. After serving in the U.S. House beginning in 1995, he entered the Senate in 2003, where he became a leading voice on national security, foreign policy, immigration, and judicial issues.

Over the years, Graham evolved from a young congressman into one of Capitol Hill’s most familiar faces. His career included an unsuccessful 2015 presidential campaign before he later became one of President Donald Trump‘s closest allies in the Senate despite their once-contentious rivalry.

Away from politics, Graham often acknowledged that his personal life had taken a different path from that of many of his colleagues. In his autobiography, he wrote, “I’ve never married. I guess I attribute that to timing, too. The opportunity never presented itself at the right time, or I never found time to meet the right girl, or the right girl was smart enough not to have time for me.”

According to Men’s Journal, Graham dated a law school girlfriend named Debbie before later dating Carol, an Air Force JAG officer, and Sylvia, a Lufthansa flight attendant, while serving in Germany. After losing both parents as a young man, he also became the legal guardian — and later adoptive father — of his younger sister, Darline Graham Nordone.

Graham’s Sudden Death Followed by New Medical Details

His death prompted an outpouring of condolences from across the political spectrum. Trump remembered him as a “true American Patriot.” South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster called him “the fiercest of fighters for South Carolina and America.”

Sen. Tim Scott described him as “a true statesman.” Senator Blumenthal described him as a “strong-minded” lawmaker who “marched to his own drummer.”

“I was always impressed with his kindness to people we met along the way,” Blumenthal said in a statement. “We often differed, but he listened to me and others who might have opposing views and sought to bridge our differences.”

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said Graham “stood with Ukraine and in defense of democratic values.”

Only after those tributes began pouring in did officials reveal more about Graham’s final hours. His office initially described his passing as a sudden illness before later announcing that preliminary findings from the District of Columbia medical examiner determined he had suffered an aortic dissection, a tear in the inner layer of the body’s main artery caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Officials said a final death certificate will be issued after toxicological and microscopic testing is completed. Trump later revealed that he had spoken with Graham shortly before emergency personnel were called. The president said Graham told him he was “tired.”

“But other than that, he was fine,” Trump recalled, adding during another interview that the conversation “could’ve been his last call.”

Trump also shared how he learned of Graham’s death, telling Meet the Press anchor Kristen Welker, “I got a message about 1 o’clock in the morning from one of the people in his office that he had passed away. I

Inside Donny Osmond & Wife’s Home of More than 25 Years Where Neighbors Don’t Treat Him like a Celebrity

Donny Osmond continues to shine in Hollywood’s spotlight. He might be a superstar on-screen, but he is just an ordinary man among his neighbors.

Donny Osmond has a proven track record of being a multi-talented man – he is a singer, actor, TV host, and best-selling author. He is also a commercial speaker, motivational speaker, and racecar driver.

The music superstar, who was born in 1957, has achieved 33 gold records in the span of his career. He has sold more than 100 million albums, establishing himself as a music legend.

Being a showman runs in Donny’s blood, and his ability to entertain has remained timeless. He and his musically inclined siblings have been in the show business for a long time.

The acclaimed crooner was part of the famous 1970 musical group The Osmonds, which consisted of his equally talented siblings Jimmy, Marie, Virl, Merrill, Alan, Jay, and Wayne.

In addition to the musical band, Donny also had a hit variety show with his sister, Marie, titled “Donny & Marie” in 1976. The duo’s performance earned many accolades for being outstanding performers.

In 2009, “Dancing with the Stars” crowned Donny as a champion for season nine, which amassed 37 million viewers weekly. Due to his varied career choices, he has captivated many audiences.

He starred on Broadway as Gaston in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” and hosted two TV series on the British TV network. He also performed at the Concert for Diana, a benefit show for the late Princess Diana.

From entertainment, he eventually branched out into business. He launched a home furnishing line called Donny Osmond Home in 2013, with his longtime wife and former actress Debbie.

His Wife for Life

Donny has been married to Debbie for over 48 years. The proud husband said his family is his top priority, and he was grateful to have a wife, who he described as a “silent giant.” He said, “Show biz can be a very crazy life, but I’ve found a wonderful stability in her, and it has made a world of difference [sic].”

Donny was 19 when he wed 18-year-old Debbie in 1978. He said his wife was an “amazing person” to be with, and if he had not married her, he would be a mess.

Much of the showman’s success has been attributed to his love for his wife and family. Being members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donny said he and Debbie value kindness and forgiveness.

According to Donny, their religion stresses the importance of respect in their marriage since they are bound together for life. Donny said they are equal in the household, particularly in decision-making.

In addition to maintaining equality and religious values in their union, Donny, who has been in the spotlight for years, said he is eager to protect his family’s privacy.

Finding the Perfect Spot

The master showman and his family lived in different areas in the past – in California, Toronto, and Chicago. Born in Ogden, Utah, Donny moved to California when he was three years old.

After tying the knot with Debbie, the couple stayed in Provo, Utah, until 1985 and returned to California. Because of Donny’s thriving career, the pair relocated again.

The couple moved to several places in Toronto and Chicago while Donny was doing the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Afterward, they decided to settle back in Provo.

Home Sweet Home

Donny and Debbie have a beautiful abode in Provo. Their gorgeous estate includes an elegant living room with a large fireplace, a vineyard, a man cave, and a recording studio filled with his albums.

The couple’s home featured a refreshing pool with outdoor furniture and a massive backyard, where they held family gatherings. They previously threw a gender reveal party for their son, Christopher.

In front of their house, there was a long driveway where neighbors’ children would gather. Donny has allowed the kids to express their creativity by drawing fun cartoons on the ground.

Just Ol’ Uncle Donny in the Neighborhood

Some children called the veteran singer “Uncle Donny.” Donny said he enjoyed his leisurely trips to a grocery store where employees would treat him like a friend. He spoke of their home: “In the crazy world of entertainment, it is so comforting to live with my family in an area where we can just be a family.”

Donny said the Provo residents treated him and his family like ordinary neighbors. It gives him great comfort to know that their neighbors respect and value their privacy.

Donny enjoyed being a neighbor who could enjoy the perks of living in the neighborhood and being part of the community. He considered Provo as his “home base” for the years to come.

Besides Christopher, he and Debbie have other sons Donald Jr., Jeremy, Brandon, and Joshua.

Donny’s former home in Chicago – a midcentury colonial-style house – was sold for $1.18 million. He and Debbie lived there in the late 1990s before moving to Provo for good.

Dan + Shay Break Their Silence on How Jelly Roll Is Really Handling His Divorce

The “Son of a Sinner” singer’s divorce has shaken country music, but the friends who’ve been closest to him aren’t worried… for a particular reason.

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, who together make up the duo Dan + Shay, spoke up at the Tight Ends & Friends Concert presented by Reese’s in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The event, hosted by Tight End University alongside Sports Illustrated, was where both men were asked about their close friend Jelly Roll’s high-profile split from Bunnie Xo. And neither held back.

Dan Smyers Has a Simple Answer

Dan kept it short, but the message was clear. “I saw him the other night, actually. Yeah, I ran into him,” he told Page Six, noting it was outside of the event. “He was great. We didn’t really get into it, but I’m happy for him.”

The guitarist also made a point to spotlight a post Jelly had shared earlier that same day, in which the Grammy winner reflected on his fitness journey.

“The post he did was amazing,” Dan said. “I was like, ‘Damn, that’s my guy.’ It was cool.” It was a small moment, but a telling one: even in the middle of a very public unraveling, Jelly was showing up for himself.

Shay Mooney Gives Both Sides Their Flowers

Shay took a broader view, making sure credit went to both Jelly and Bunnie for how they’ve each carried themselves since news of the divorce broke. “They’ve handled it with class. It’s a tough thing to go through very, very publicly,” he said.

Coming from someone who knows what it means to be a public figure in a marriage, that read as genuine respect rather than a talking point.

“I mean, as married guys, if we had to go through something like that publicly, it’s really tough on both parties and they’ve both handled it well,” Mooney continued. “We want the best for both of them. They’re great.”

For a story that’s had no shortage of online speculation, hearing that from people in Jelly’s inner circle is more significant than any headline.

The Dan + Shay Song That Once Saved Their Marriage

And if you’re wondering why Dan and Shay’s opinion is significant, it probably has something to do with the role they played in Jelly and Bunnie’s relationship before.

Back in 2022, Jelly performed alongside the country duo, and during their song “Tequila,” he stepped off the stage to find Bunnie in the crowd. The two slow-danced together through the entire song.

It was not just a sweet concert moment. Bunnie shared the throwback video on TikTok in 2024, explaining that “Tequila” had been their song during a critical reunion trip to Colorado back in 2018, after the two had separated and were figuring out whether their relationship had a future.

“We split in 2018 … and met in Colorado to talk and figure out if we were going to make things work,” she wrote. “This song was our song for that entire reunion trip. We ended up getting back together and being stronger than ever.”

“Tequila,” of course, is about the pull of a love you cannot quite let go of, even after it ends. That it soundtracked their reconciliation once makes the current chapter land differently.

What Actually Happened Between Jelly Roll and Bunnie

Beyond the warm words from his friends, the facts of the split tell their own story. On June 15, Page Six verified that Jelly quietly sought to end his marriage to Bunnie after nearly a decade together. He actually submitted the legal paperwork about a month prior, on May 18.

In the documents, the musician stated that the two could no longer get along due to incompatible differences. While the couple has no children together, Jelly has an 18-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann, and a 9-year-old son, Noah Buddy, from earlier relationships.

He addressed the split publicly for the first time mid-concert on June 18, during his Little ASS Shed Tour stop in Saratoga Springs, New York.

“This is the only time and the only city I’m gonna speak about this, so break your camera phones out now,” he told the crowd in a video that was also posted to his Instagram account.

He went on to say that he and Bunnie “will always be best friends,” that she will “probably be the only woman I will ever love the way I loved her,” and made clear that “nobody cheated on nobody.”

He then encouraged fans to listen to the episode of Bunnie’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast that was released that evening. He assured everyone that everything shared in it was completely true, adding that she would always be his closest friend and that this would be his final public statement on the matter.

Sharp-eyed viewers watching footage from the Saratoga Springs show noticed something else: his ring was gone. One netizen noted simply, “He’s taken off his wedding ring.”

Bunnie’s Podcast Episode Said the Quiet Parts Out Loud

That concert speech was just the opening act. Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, did not hold back in her nearly hour-long June 18 podcast episode.

She addressed the fight that led to the split, shut down rumors that she is now dating Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger, and laid out exactly how she and Jelly (born Jason DeFord) have divided their shared life in the weeks since he filed.
