Yusef Dubois Jackson, 55

If one sibling flirted with pop culture from the outside, Yusef Dubois Jackson jumped straight into it.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Yusef has worked as a private investor, attorney, corporate advisor, and community advocate, with more than 25 years spanning beverage distribution, media, and technology. He once led River North Sales & Service, growing sales dramatically before guiding it through a major investment.

Then he made an unexpected move.

In 2006, he put money into Radar Magazine and transitioned it into Radaronline.com. According to Chicago Magazine, the media-shy son of a famous reverend stepped into the publishing world with caution.

“Our father was a servant leader — not only to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world,” the family added. “We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family. His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love uplifted millions, and we ask you to honor his memory by continuing the fight for the values he lived by.”

Public observances will be held in Chicago. Final arrangements will be released by the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.

Rev. Jackson Was a Witness to History

“I turned to wine, which ultimately ended up leading to an alcohol dependency,” she explained. “It was how I would get through each day.”

People around Panettiere saw the addiction but did not initially understand the depression beneath it. Even after she received a postpartum depression diagnosis, she said treatment remained focused on her drinking instead of its source.

Most importantly, this was the home Panettiere shared with Jansen during their formative years. After his death from an undiagnosed heart condition in February 2023, at age 28, places tied to their childhood took on a much heavier meaning.

Panettiere described the depth of that loss in September 2024. “When I lost him, I felt like I lost half of my soul,” she told People.

Then she revealed a devastating part of the journey: “Jay and I have lost four embryos. We’ve had three transfers.” She said they lost the twins they had been trying to have, as well as two other embryos.

“And anybody that’s going through that and has to deal with these miscarriages, um, it’s gut-wrenching,” she disclosed. “It is so heartbreaking.” Those revelations add another layer to the divorce. This is not just a marriage ending after arguments and distance. It is a marriage that has been carrying grief, hormones, pressure, fertility struggles, and public expectations all at once.

Bunnie also admitted the heartbreak had affected her physically. She said she had not been eating and had needed IVs because she was malnourished.

She joked that she was eating baby food and said friends were checking on her daily to make sure she ate. Still, in the same conversation, Bunnie seemed determined not to let the divorce define her as broken.

She said the split had become a kind of wake-up call. “This needed to happen,” Bunnie expressed. “This was a wake-up call. This was like a resurrection of my soul.” She added that she feels like a different person than she had a month and a half earlier.

And yet, even as she talked about reclaiming herself, Bunnie returned to the baby journey. “We’re still having a baby together,” she reiterated. “We’re going to co-parent together. Jay is my best friend.” Then she made the boundary of the breakup clear again.

A New Home, a New Chapter, and a Very Unusual Future

“This isn’t what you guys think this is,” Bunnie said. She described the split as two people who have “served” their purpose for each other. She also said she was excited to discover herself “single and sober.” That part of the podcast had a new energy.

Bunnie joked about getting messages from verified accounts after the announcement and said the pickup lines needed to be much better. She said she was ready to have fun, but not necessarily to be “crazy” or “wild.” Instead, she framed this next chapter as a woman reclaiming her power.

“You can be sexy again,” Bunnie emphasized. “You can literally rise up from any situation that is sent to crush you, and you can make the best of it.” Then came another surprising detail about the divorce settlement and the life Bunnie is building next…

She said she and Jelly Roll had been building their dream home on a compound. According to Bunnie, Jelly Roll is giving her the compound in the divorce because he knows how special it is to her. The property, she said, has three houses.

She described plans for family, animals, land, a barn, and a future built around the baby they still intend to welcome. The image Bunnie painted was not of someone quietly disappearing after divorce; it was of someone rebuilding a whole new world around herself. “I feel so powerful,” she marveled. “I feel so inspired to just live life.”

She added that she was excited to experience life through a child’s eyes. “I’m not going to let it break me, and I’m not going to deter it,” she said of the baby journey. Then she revealed that Jelly Roll was on the same page. “Jay has been so great about us still having a baby together, and he wants the same thing,” Bunnie said. “We’re just going to raise little Nugget as one big happy family.”

At that point, the story already felt unusual enough: A divorce; a loving phone call; a planned baby; a compound, and a future as co-parents and best friends. But then Bunnie revealed the detail that made everything even more complicated.

Jelly Roll, according to her, has already started to date. “My husband is ready to date,” Bunnie said toward the end of the episode. “He is rearing and ready to go.”

On August 25, 2026, the news broke that country music legend Dolly Parton had passed away at the age of 80, bringing an end to a career that had made her one of the most recognizable entertainers of her generation.

Her nephew and head of security for more than two decades, Bryan Seaver, announced her passing that day in a video shared on social media. He began:

“[…] I am representing the Parton and Owens family today, announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean — sister, sis, Aunt Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next.”

“This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. […] I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now,” Seaver continued.

Parton’s death closed a multi-decade career that extended far beyond country music, but her public accomplishments represented only one part of the life she built.

Away from the stage was a love story that lasted nearly 60 years, much of it deliberately shielded from the attention surrounding her fame.

The singer and her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, had an unusual relationship by celebrity standards because Dean almost completely avoided the public side of his wife’s life.
