Jack Osbourne’s New Look Gets Fans Talking, Sparking Ozempic Buzz

The 40-year-old’s latest video was meant to promote his Patreon, but fans quickly became distracted by his dramatically different appearance and started speculating online.

Jack Osbourne sparked a wave of online reactions after debuting a noticeably different look in a recent Instagram video. The comments section quickly filled with reactions about his appearance, with some fans even speculating that the TV personality may have used Ozempic.

Jack Osbourne’s New Video Had Fans Doing Double Takes

While Jack intended to update followers about where they could find more of his content, many viewers focused on something else entirely. In a recent Instagram post, he shared a video explaining that he plans to post more content on Patreon rather than Facebook or Instagram.

Before discussing the platform switch, he opened with a quick acknowledgment of his changed appearance. “Hey, everyone! How’s it going? Yes, I shaved a moustache,” Jack said at the start of the clip.

That simple introduction immediately got fans talking. Some viewers focused on the missing facial hair, while others could not stop discussing what they believed was noticeable weight loss and facial changes.

One commenter bluntly wrote, “Oh no. Ozempic ruined the whole family.” Another netizen admitted“Wow almost [sic] didn’t recognize him at first.”

Others expressed concern over how dramatically different he appeared. “Sorry to say it, but Jack, you appear to have aged by at least 10 years! What’s happening???” an individual commented.

Another follower added“It looks great, but you need to stay off the Ozempic like your family.” Notably, Jack himself has not addressed the speculation.

Kelly Osbourne Previously Fired Back at Similar Comments

The Ozempic chatter surrounding Jack comes after his sister, Kelly Osbournepublicly addressed criticism about her own appearance earlier this year. On February 23, Kelly responded to body-shaming remarks after users accused her of looking “too thin and fragile.”

“Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!” Kelly wrote while sharing screenshots of hurtful comments. In another video that was later deleted, Kelly emotionally addressed repeated accusations that she was using Ozempic.

“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right.’ My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family,” she declared.

She continued, “And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side of my life.”

Sharon Osbourne Had Her Own Response

Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne, also weighed in after seeing the online criticism aimed at her daughter. In an Instagram Reel, Sharon was asked whether she felt proud of Kelly for standing up to internet bullies. “Sure, listen, people that give it out have to get it back,” Sharon responded.

The Osbourne family has faced years of public scrutiny about their appearances, health, and personal lives. The latest speculation surrounding Jack appears to be another example of how quickly online conversations can spiral.

The Family Has Been Coping with Ozzy Osbourne’s Death

The attention on Jack’s appearance also comes during a difficult period for the Osbourne family. Earlier this year, Jack and his wife, Aree Gearheart, shared the joyful news that they had welcomed a daughter named Ozzy, honoring his late father.

Jack captioned the March 12 Instagram post, “Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.” The baby was photographed with a bat toy, a playful nod to one of Ozzy’s most infamous rock-and-roll moments.

Jack and Aree also share a daughter, Maple, 3. Additionally, he is father to Pearl Clementine, Andy Rose, and Minnie Theodora, whom he shares with ex-wife Lisa Stelly. The family has openly discussed trying to navigate life after Ozzy’s death.

During a March 5 appearance on the Jamie Kennedy podcast, Jack revealed that his father’s passing still came as a shock despite his long health struggles. Jack said Ozzy had been strong and “fired up” before his demise, making the loss especially difficult for the family to process.

Jack Has Also Faced Serious Health Battles Himself

Long before the recent online speculation, Jack had already dealt with major health challenges. In 2012, just weeks after welcoming daughter Pearl Clementine, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Jack spoke candidly about how devastating the diagnosis felt at the time.

“I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, ‘Why now?’ ” he said. “I’ve got a family, and that’s what’s supposed to be the most important thing.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, multiple sclerosis affects the central nervous system and can impact muscle control, balance, vision, sensation, and thinking. The condition varies greatly from person to person, with some experiencing mild symptoms while others can become seriously disabled.

For now, Jack Osbourne appears focused on family life and his projects online. Still, his latest appearance has clearly become a talking point among followers. The discussion also highlights a broader trend online, where celebrity weight loss often immediately triggers Ozempic speculation, whether there is evidence or not.

Sharon Osbourne Shares Touching Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne as She Marks Her First Valentine’s Day Without Him

Marking her first Valentine’s Day without her husband, the 73-year-old shared a simple yet powerful image that spoke of permanence, loss, and enduring devotion. The photographs that trace the couple’s journey — from the mid-1980s to her poignant February 14 tribute — await at the end of this article.

February 14 carried a different weight for Sharon Osbourne this year. For the first time in more than four decades, the 73-year-old spent Valentine’s Day without Ozzy Osbourne — the man she married in 1982 and repeatedly described as her soulmate.

Rather than issue a lengthy statement, she chose a single image to mark the occasion. Posted to Instagram, the photograph showed Sharon’s hand gently clasping Ozzy’s. His wedding band glinted under soft light as his tattooed hand rested beneath hers.

The frame was intimate and tightly cropped. No faces, no setting — just connection. She captioned it, “Forever Valentine,” followed by an infinity symbol.

The response online was emotional as well as supportive. “This love will never end… Ozzy for ever [sic]🫶🏼❣️,” one person shared“I cried with your post 😢😢😢😢,” another commented. “Poor Sharon!!” a third wrote.

Several reflected on the depth of their marriage. “She really loves this man. For all he put her through she stayed. It was pure love. Soulmates xx,” one netizen typed.

Others focused on the difficulty of first anniversaries. “The first year is the worst. It’s the first birthdays (yours and theirs without them) Christmas etc. it doesn’t get easier you just learn to live with it [sic],” one person shared.

Another person reflected on seeing Ozzy honour Sharon during a past Ozzfest in Atlanta, United States, on July 4, recalling how he brought her on stage for their anniversary as the crowd sang “Mama I’m Coming Home” while they danced together.

The commenter described it as one of the most beautiful moments they had witnessed, adding that although the world is not the same without him, his legacy will live on. Together, the tributes framed Sharon and Ozzy not just as public figures, but as partners bound by history.

Ozzy died of heart failure at his Buckinghamshire home in July last year. He was 76. His passing marked the end of one of rock music’s most enduring and turbulent partnerships — both professionally and personally.

In the months since, Sharon has navigated her grief largely in public view. Earlier this month, she appeared alongside her children, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, at Universal Music Group’s afterparty following the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The outing came after an emotional moment during the ceremony itself. Ozzy’s career was honoured during the “In Memoriam” segment, when Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt performed Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.”

Standing in the audience, Sharon dabbed at her eyes. Kelly appeared visibly shaken as well, while Jack stared forward, jaw tight. Their grief was visible and unguarded.

Ahead of the ceremony, Kelly described losing her father as the “hardest thing” she had ever experienced. When the tribute began, that loss played out in real time. Yet her mother’s Valentine’s Day post underscored the private cost of that loss.

The image of the couple’s hands — familiar, steady — suggested continuity despite absence. For decades, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s marriage unfolded against the backdrop of fame, addiction, reinvention, and resilience.

Their relationship became inseparable from his legacy. And now, as February 14 rolled around this year, there were no grand gestures — only hands intertwined and two words that carried a lifetime of meaning.

Marc Anthony Breaks His Silence on the Beckham Family Drama

In a scandal that has rocked two of the world’s most recognisable families, the Latin music icon has finally spoken out — after being dragged into the Beckhams’ ongoing war of words.

Marc Anthony, 57, found himself at the centre of a social media firestorm last month after Brooklyn Beckham, 26, dropped a bombshell six-page statement accusing his parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham, of emotional sabotage and public humiliation at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.

At the heart of it all? A moment that was supposed to be romantic and unforgettable — the couple’s first dance — which Brooklyn claims was hijacked by his own mother, with Marc’s help.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Marc — who has been close with the Beckhams for decades — finally addressed the claims.

“I have nothing to say about what’s happening with the family,” the singer said. “They’re a wonderful, wonderful family. I’ve known them since before the kids were born. I’m godfather to Cruz.”

But he didn’t hold back completely. “I’m really close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there,” he added. “It’s extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out — but [how it’s playing out] is hardly the truth.”

Brooklyn Accuses His Mother of ‘Inappropriate’ Wedding Behaviour

Brooklyn’s original statement stunned fans and the press alike. He claimed that what was supposed to be a magical first dance with his new bride was derailed when Marc called him up on stage — only to find Victoria waiting there instead.

“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” Brooklyn wrote. “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.”

He alleged the dance was deeply uncomfortableclaiming his mother “danced very inappropriately” on him in full view of guests — leaving him feeling “humiliated” and devastated.

The emotional fallout was swift. Multiple reports claimed Nicola, 31, was left in tears by the unexpected scene, fleeing the room as guests watched on in awkward silence.

The DJ Tells His Side — and Blames Marc

Enter DJ Fat Tony — the Beckhams’ longtime friend and the man behind the decks that night. Speaking on “This Morning” just days after Brooklyn’s post, the musician tried to set the record straight.

“What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage,” Tony recalled. “Brooklyn went on to the stage, and the next minute everyone’s expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage — and then he says, ‘Victoria, come to the stage.'”

Tony admitted that the moment became visibly tense, noting that Brooklyn looked gutted, and Nicola “left the room crying her eyes out”.

Awkward Dance Details Spark Outrage

The DJ later described the moment in more detail, telling the Daily Mail that Brooklyn’s hands were placed on his mother’s waist at Marc’s behest, while her arms were around his neck. However, he insisted he did not view the interaction as overtly inappropriate.

“The timing was inappropriate for me,” he explained. “It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment. It was in the heat of the moment. Brooklyn left right after the dance. Nicola left the room and afterwards he went after her.”

Lamenting about the aftermath, he added, “The whole situation is just awful, the way it’s played out so publicly. Families are families, I don’t know what started it. […] I’m not speaking bad about either party in it, I’m just putting the narrative straight about the dance.”

Social Media Divided — but Many Blame Marc

As the saga continues, fans across social media have erupted — and many are pointing the finger directly at Marc.

“Seems as though Marc Anthony caused the entire problem over the dance,” one furious commenter wrote“He had no business calling the mother up when he knew it should have been the wife. He should be apologising for his stupid actions. And to choreograph the dance by telling the kid to put his hands on his mother’s hips is atrocious.”

Another posted“Go away Antony… you knew what you were doing!! [sic].” Others expressed shock over Marc’s now-infamous introduction“the most beautiful woman in the room”.

“Did he really call Victoria the ‘most beautiful woman in the room’ at somebody else’s wedding? That’s wildly inappropriate as well,” one appalled netizen questioned.

“How much pressure did he have to take from Victoria to do this?” another asked, hinting at a deeper level of manipulation behind the scenes.

‘From One Controlling Family to Another’ — Fans Rip Into Brooklyn

While some sympathised with Brooklyn and Nicola, others turned their scorn toward the the couple.

“All I can say is it looks like BB has gone from one controlling family to another! He is the weakest link! He will regret it when, in the future, he will need his family once the present ones have had enough of the wet blanket!” one commenter said.

Others speculated Brooklyn didn’t even write the statement himself. “The statement was obviously written by his wife. A British person would never say dancing ‘on’ me, they would write ‘with’ me. It’s a giveaway!” another observed.

Will the Truth Calm the Storm?

Still, some fans hoped that the truth might finally begin to emerge — and possibly help mend the rift between the Beckhams and their estranged son.

“It’s good to know the true story of what happened,” one supporter wrote. “The Beckhams have been taking a lot of flack, but looks like it was Anthony’s fault. Maybe this can calm the relationship war.”

But as the dust continues to swirl around this lavish yet ill-fated wedding, one thing is certain: this family feud is far from over.

Rebecca Loos, David’s Former Assistant, Speaks Out on Beckham Family Feud

Her response comes years after she made headlines for the affair between her and the soccer star, which Victoria Beckham spoke about in a 2007 interview.

Months after sharing her side of the story concerning a scandalous entanglement last year (2025), David Beckham’s former assistant, Rebecca Loos, has now responded to netizen comments about Brooklyn Peltz Beckham’s recent bombshell statements about his family.

One such comment highlights the validation Rebecca must feel now that Brooklyn is speaking out about the kind of people his relatives are, according to him.

Brooklyn’s Bombshell Statement Opens Old Wounds

Rebecca didn’t hold back when responding to followers in the comments section of a recent Instagram post; her remarks added fuel to the ongoing discourse surrounding the Beckham family drama.

One supporter wrote“Rebecca, you gotta see the awesome ditch Brooklyn just posted in his story about David and Victoria and their lies. I feel like Brooklyn is supporting everyone who knows the facade. I know you are wonderful and happy and don’t need validation but I think you will feel a source of extra validation. Especially the end about the dogs 🐾 [sic].”

Rebecca candidly replied, “So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!! I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!”

The comment appeared to hint at long-standing tensions behind the Beckham family’s polished image, as well as Rebecca’s own past experiences under the media microscope.

To another commenter who described Brooklyn’s admission as “fascinating,” Rebecca simply responded, “The truth always comes out ❤️,” a short but pointed statement that echoed the vindication many believe she feels amid the resurfaced family controversy.

Brooklyn Accuses Family of Sabotage and Performance

The comments flooding Rebecca’s Instagram were in direct response to Brooklyn’s explosive Instagram Story, in which he aired grievances about the dynamics within the Beckham household.

In a series of emotionally charged messages, Brooklyn accused his parents of controlling narratives in the press, sabotaging his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, and prioritizing public image over genuine family bonds.

Among the most pointed claims, Brooklyn alleged that his mother, Victoria Beckham, canceled making Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute, called him “evil” during the planning process, and later hijacked his first dance at the wedding.

He also shared how both he and Nicola had been consistently disrespected by his family, and criticized the Beckhams for upholding what he described as a “performative” family image.

The final blow — and the comment that caught many followers’ attention — was Brooklyn’s claim that Victoria refused to help save displaced dogs during the LA wildfires, a request made by Nicola. That specific moment, paired with the rest of Brooklyn’s public testimony, served as a flashpoint for many, including Rebecca, who saw echoes of her own experience in his words.

The Torrid 2000s Affair and Victoria’s Response

For some, Brooklyn’s stark revelations feel like history repeating itself, and for Rebecca, they reopened a chapter that first made headlines more than two decades ago. Long before social media magnified family fractures, Rebecca had already lived through the glare of a Beckham-related scandal that captivated international tabloids.

At just 25 years old, David’s former personal assistant tearfully admitted to having a torrid affair with the then–England football captain while he was in Spain, and his wife, Victoria, remained in England.

The confession rocked the celebrity world and cast Rebecca as the so-called other woman in one of the most high-profile marriages of the time.

Her brother, John Charles, confirmed the affair to the Daily Mail at the time, sharing that Rebecca was “heartbroken” over the fallout. “She knows her life will never be the same after this,” he revealedadding that she feared being forever branded as “a marriage wrecker.”

Now, years later, Brooklyn’s testimony has stirred renewed public interest in that turbulent period — one Rebecca has since tried to leave behind.

While Rebecca faced public scrutiny and personal turmoil following her revelation, the Beckham household maintained a tight, if visibly strained, front. In a 2007 interview with W Magazine, Victoria addressed the affair allegations with measured poise, though not without a flash of visible emotion.

When the topic was raised, the former Spice Girl reportedly shot a stern glance before speaking candidly about the ordeal. “I’m not going to lie. It was a really tough time,” Victoria admitted, acknowledging the deep impact the scandal had on their entire family.

“But I realized a lot of people have a price,” she added, a thinly veiled reference to reports that the Rebecca was paid £600,000 by tabloids to share her story.

While David remained silent during the exchange, he was noted to be gripping Victoria’s hand more tightly, a subtle but telling gesture. Victoria continued:

David and I got through it together. No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road. But the fact is we’ve come out of everything we’ve been through stronger and happier. It’s even better now than when we were first married. After all these years, we can just come home and have a laugh together.

Rebecca Strikes Back After Years in the Shadows

Though Victoria framed the experience as a test of marital strength and unity, the public conversation was far from over. For years, Rebecca Loos remained largely silent, her voice notably absent amid the noise.

But in a surprising turn, that silence would eventually break, as she came forward to share her own side of the story in 2025, offering long-awaited insight into the scandal that once consumed headlines.

Before speaking out, Rebecca had alleged the affair in 2004, claiming she had no choice but to out herself as the “other woman.” At the time, David dismissed the claims, calling them “ludicrous.” The denial, Rebecca said, made her feel like she was being called a liar.

Although the anger had gradually given way to resignation, David made what she called “an own goal” by indirectly referencing that time in his life on camera.

She said his decision to bring up the ordeal once more gave her a chance to strike back. Speaking about the affair, Rebecca dubbed the connection she and David shared as undeniable.

“The chemistry between David and I [sic] was so strong that everyone was aware,” she said. “People weren’t happy, obviously, because I was being very unprofessional — and he’s a married man.” Rebecca explained how she found David irresistible as he was charming and attentive.

“Just look in his eyes and the way he looks at you, and it’s quite hard not to. He’s got a certain charismatic power about him,” she said. “He’s very good-looking, and I think he can easily get what he wants, and he knows it.”

She said his attention toward her changed when David’s wife wasn’t around, recalling the first time he made a move. According to Rebecca, David invited her to his hotel room after an evening at a nightclub. Though hesitant, she eventually agreed.

The next morning, she remembered waking up and taking a shower in a bathroom she believed Victoria used. “It didn’t feel very right,” she said, “but at the same time, I had this big smile on my face.” Rebecca returned home, where her mother suspected something had happened and cautioned her to be careful.

A Dangerous Game with England’s Favorite Son

Despite knowing it was wrong, Rebecca admitted, “It was wrong, but at the same time I was, you know, hooked.” Although time has blurred some details, Rebecca stated she had kept text messages from David. “They are pretty intimate — we had a pretty intimate relationship,” she explained.

At the time, she was infatuated with him, but that changed when she saw him flirting with other women, including at Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthday party. That was when she realized she had been “massively played.” Her private relationship with David turned into an international media storm after photos of them together were leaked.

A call from News of the World alerted her that the images would make the front page. Rebecca panicked and tried to contact David’s mother for guidance. As the press took hold of the story, the coverage became relentless.

Rebecca found herself in a media circus, while David maintained his silence. Visits to see David before his matches started to feel transactional. “It left me feeling cheap and used,” she stated, though she acknowledged that feelings for him still lingered at the time.

She Wanted Him to Feel Her Pain

When asked why she chose to go public, Rebecca said she wanted to take control of the narrative and make David feel the same pain she experienced. His continued denial drove her to speak out repeatedly.

David revisited the affair allegations in his Netflix series, referencing the strain it put on his marriage. The documentary’s release reignited criticism toward Rebecca, but she challenged the double standard in how the public treated her versus David.

“There were loads of horrible stories. There were horrible stories about me. There were horrible stories about his wife, Victoria. There were never horrible stories about him,” she said. “He was ‘Golden Balls.’ He was ‘the man.’ Pat him on the back. ‘Good for you.’ Nothing changed in his life, but it was all Victoria’s fault. My fault. All the blame was on us.”

Rebecca said she felt guilty for how her actions affected David’s wife and children. “Yes, I did. Of course, I did. I think we just live in a very unfair world,” she stated. Reflecting on the personal toll the scandal took, Rebecca shared that she struggled with loneliness and emotional pain.

“It was hard, and when I was down, I was very, very down and very lonely,” she recalled. At the time, she explained, people weren’t as open about mental health. “You didn’t feel you could just say to someone, ‘Hey, I need to talk.’ It was something you battled with,” she added.

Rebecca said the emotional strain had lasting effects. “I went up against England’s favorite son,” she said. “It was a harsh environment to go up against.”

When asked if her strength helped her through, Rebecca responded, “Some of it seeped through and got to me. And that… that has taken time to recover from.”

From the Field to Fatherhood: Inside Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson’s Family With Eight Children

He once lived in a stadium to chase greatness, mapped out fatherhood like a playbook, and now raises eight athletic children across a carefully chosen village.

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has never done things the conventional way. The former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver stunned fans early in his NFL career when he revealed that he had been living inside the team’s stadium.

His goal was simple: save money, maximize time in the training room, and stay focused. Years later, Johnson is applying that same unorthodox mindset to fatherhood.

He has become known not only for his eccentric charm but also for his calculated approach to raising eight children, each one part of a strategy built around athletic potential.

Only Athletes Need Apply

In a 2025 interview on the “This Past Weekend” podcast, Johnson was asked if he had many children. His answer? “Yeah, a lot. 85.” While clearly exaggerated, the sentiment was not a joke. Fatherhood, for Johnson, is a mission.

On his Instagram bio, he has described himself as a 6x certified Lash Artist, Esthetician & Zumba Instructor, and a “Proud father of 85.”

“There was strategy behind mine,” he said during the interview. “I only dated women that were athletic […] So my kids had a head start on that foundation of athletic ability. That’s it.” He made it clear that looks and social media presence meant nothing to him. “I needed and only dated women that were athletic.”

This wasn’t a one-time comment. On the “Bussin With The Boys” podcast in 2021, he explained, “It had nothing to do with how fine you were or how you looked. I want [expletive] athletes. ‘What’d you do in high school? Show me some [expletive] tape.'”

He said he asked potential partners about their track records, literally. “I need that DNA. I need that mixture to be on point.”

Now in his late 40s, Johnson co-parents with seven women and says their arrangement works well. “We all work as one unit,” he said. “I have no issues.” But his requirements go beyond genetics.

Snacks, Kids, and Household Readiness

On a 2025 episode of the Night Cap podcast, Johnson revealed why he prefers to date women who already have children. “If you don’t have at least two kids, I’m not even looking at you,” he shared.

“Women that don’t have kids […] 98.9 percent of the time, they never had no food in the refrigerator, and they don’t have no snacks in the pantry,” he added.

He elaborated on his snack standards, “Do you have Capri Suns in your refrigerator? Do you have oatmeal pies? Do you have Zingers? I need nourishment at 3 in the morning.”

A High-Profile Engagement and a Baby on the Move

One of Johnson’s most public relationships was with “Selling Tampa” alum and U.S. Army veteran Sharelle Rosado. In January 2023, Johnson proposed to her during what she believed was his birthday party, presenting a 7½-carat oval-cut ring in front of family and friends.

The pair had welcomed their daughter, Serenity “Hurricane” Paula Johnson, a year earlier in January 2022. Johnson posted a photo of himself cutting the umbilical cord, captioned, “Just delivered Serenity ‘Hurricane’ Paula Johnson.”

Months later, he shared a video of Serenity walking in a bounce house at just six months old. He cited this as proof of his long-held theory. “With the basic foundation already in tact [sic] at birth […] my job at perfecting stabilization/coordination at an early age becomes that much easier,” he wrote. Johnson and Rosado broke up in October 2024.

Meet the Johnson Children

Each of Johnson’s eight children has their own personality, pursuits, and, in many cases, athletic drive.

Jicyra Johnson, his eldest daughter, is a realtor and model based between Los Angeles and Miami. Her Instagram lists her as a luxury realtor with Allure Realty Miami.

Chade’ Kierra Johnson, 22, runs a hairstyling business in Homestead, Florida. She’ll be celebrating her 23rd birthday in July 2026.

Savi Johnson made an early appearance in a 2015 Instagram video, where a toddler was shown playing football. Johnson captioned it, “Baby Savi getting jiggy.”

Another daughter, born in 2016 following a relationship with Alexia Farquharson, was confirmed as his in 2018 after court proceedings. Johnson acknowledged paternity and requested shared responsibility for medical costs.

Florida “Kennedi” Evans Johnson has often been featured in her father’s Instagram posts. She appeared in a 2020 birthday video where she announced she was turning five.

Serenity “Hurricane” Paula Johnson, his youngest, continues to be a frequent star of his social media as he documents her development and budding physical coordination.

Whether catching passes or crafting a family tree, Johnson’s every move has been deliberate. He once slept in a stadium to save money. Now, he is building a legacy, one carefully selected child at a time. “All one unit,” he says.

Paula, Adoptive Mother of 10-Year-Old Tony Hudgell, Sparks Buzz with Surgery Update – Photo

The update, both intimate and resolute, quickly drew attention — not only for the scale of what he has endured, but for the strength the family continues to show in the face of relentless challenges.

There are women who have learned to hold themselves together in hospital waiting rooms — not because it gets easier, but because their child needs them steady. Paula Hudgell is one of those women, and this week, she let the world see exactly what that steadiness costs.

A Heartbroken Mother’s Update

On 10 April 2026, the 58-year-old adoptive mother of 10-year-old Tony Hudgell shared an emotional update to the family’s joint Instagram account.

She revealed that Tony had gone in for surgery at Sheffield Children’s Hospital — his 33rd general anaesthetic — to have a plate and screws removed following a hip fracture 16 months ago.

Writing from the hospital with characteristic openness, Paula described what it felt like to stand by her son through something that, by now, should perhaps feel familiar — and still does not. She shared:

“Even after being with him for the last ten, it still shatters me every single time. Watching his tiny body go through things no child should ever have to face… it’s a kind of pain I’ll never get used to.”

The hip fracture that prompted this latest procedure came about just before Christmas 2024. Paula explained to the Daily Mail how it unfolded, “He was walking across the room and just caught his leg and fractured his hip.”

With the hardware now removed, Tony faces six weeks of being entirely non-weight-bearing — the “next mountain,” as his mother described it, already in view.

The surgery was carried out by consultant orthopaedic surgeon James Fernandes, the same specialist who led Tony’s pioneering five-hour operation in March 2024 to fit him with a prosthetic hip and lengthen his left femur.

Paula spoke warmly in her post of the care they continue to receive under the medical professional, writing that they are “so lucky to have him.”

What gives Paula’s words their particular weight is the full picture of what she is carrying alongside her son.

In her interview with the Daily Mail, the 58-year-old addressed what it means to face these moments again and again. “Watching Tony go through operation after operation has been one of the most emotionally exhausting experiences imaginable,” she revealed.

“Each time, there’s that same moment that never gets easier — the quiet, heavy dread as he’s taken in, and the unbearable sight of him drifting off to sleep. No matter how many times it happens, it never feels routine. It never feels okay,” Paula added.

And alongside the sadness, she told the paper, there is always something harder to sit with. “It’s impossible not to feel anger alongside the heartbreak,” she revealed.

As for the Instagram post, the 58-year-old closed the way she always does — squarely in his corner. “Tony, you amaze me. Every. Single. Day. We fight on together 💛,” the caption concluded.

The Diagnosis She Is Carrying Alongside Him

What gives Paula’s words their particular weight is the full picture of what she is carrying alongside her son. Diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in 2022, she was told in July 2025 that her illness is terminal, and has been undergoing chemotherapy every two weeks since.

She has spoken with painful candour about the possibility that she may not see Tony reach adulthood. And yet, Paula has not stepped back. She told the Daily Mail:

“I’ve been on chemo every two weeks. It’s been tough, it’s been hard, but this campaign is the fire in my belly. I don’t want to go anywhere until I know that there is a child cruelty register. How long I’ve got, who knows? I’m not going anywhere without a fight. Tony’s my inspiration.”

Meanwhile, the news of Tony’s condition and the broader context of the family’s ongoing struggles drew supportive and overwhelming responses online.

One person shared, “You are an amazing woman & hearing this sad news is devastating, poor Tony also, this will really break his heart.. Keep strong darling [sic] x,” while another wrote, “Such a cruel irony now that his lovely adoptive mum is facing her own fight for life. I pray she’s around for many years to come.”

A third simply commented, “How utterly tragic for this loving family,” and a fourth added“Unbelievably sad for that brave little kid who has gone through so much ,and will now lose his new Mother who has given him so much love in his life.”

A fifth typed, “Such a brave lad and such loving parents, what a cruel world we live in. Sending all our love to a remarkable family x x.”

The 41 Days That Changed Everything

To understand why Paula’s 10 April health update post moved tens of thousands of people, you have to go back to the beginning.

Tony, from Kent, was just 41 days old when he was subjected to cruelty so severe at the hands of his biological parents, Anthony Smith and Jody Simpson, that doctors were left with no choice but to remove both his legs when he was three.

He sustained many more injuries, including multiple fractures, sepsis, and organ failure. Since that early period, Tony has undergone 23 further operations and now lives with a dislocated hip and hearing loss.

All the while, those responsible have walked free. According to reports, Anthony and Jody were each given 10-year prison terms in 2018 after being found guilty of child cruelty.

They were then released early in 2025 — Anthony’s release coming shortly after Jody’s earlier in the year — prompting widespread public outrage across Britain. Paula, for her part, described the releases as “deeply upsetting” and “a betrayal of justice,” adding in a statement:

“This man caused immeasurable harm to Tony — damage that will last a lifetime — and yet he walksfree while the person affected continues to carry the weight of his actions every single day.

From Hospital Wards to History Books

Despite his unimaginably cruel start to life, what Tony has done with the life he has been given is, by any measure, extraordinary.

In 2020, at just seven years old, he completed a 10-kilometre charity walk on prosthetic legs during the COVID-19 pandemic, raising more than £1.7 million for Evelina London Children’s Hospital — the very institution that had helped keep him alive as a baby.

The effort earned him national recognition: the Pride of Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award, the Points of Light Award, and the British Citizen Youth Award.

In the 2024 New Year Honours, he received a British Empire Medal (MEB), becoming its youngest-ever recipient, while Paula was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2023 for her services to children.

Another post marked a decade since Tony became part of the Hudgell family, reflecting on the years of growth, resilience, and unconditional love that have defined their journey together.

The family’s campaign for legal reform also changed the law. Known as Tony’s Law, the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 raised the maximum sentence for causing serious harm to a child from 10 years to 14, and introduced a life sentence for cases in which a child subsequently passes away.

Moments of Joy Beyond the Hospital Walls

While hospital stays and surgeries remain a constant part of Tony’s life, glimpses shared on social media reveal a childhood still shaped by warmth, humour, and connection.

In a post from July 2023, the now 10-year-old appeared alongside Paula to mark her birthday, smiling as they celebrated together. The caption — written with affection — read, “Happy birthday Mum. We love you so much!! You deserve the best day ❤️❤️ – Jess and Tony.”

Another post marked a decade since Tony became part of the Hudgell family, reflecting on the years of growth, resilience, and unconditional love that have defined their journey together.

These quieter moments — far removed from operating theatres and recovery rooms — highlight the life Tony continues to build, supported by a family determined to give him stability, joy, and opportunity.

As Paula’s latest update made clear, the challenges are far from over. Yet the message at its core remains unchanged — through every setback and milestone, they continue forward together.

‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ Siblings Heartbroken as Their Mum Passes Away on Mother’s Day

Both siblings posted deeply personal tributes online, and the family photographs they have shared over the years, which you will find at the end of this article, are as moving as the words themselves.

For most people, Mother’s Day means flowers and phone calls. However, for two of Britain’s most familiar soap faces, 15 March 2026 brought something far more final.

“Emmerdale” favourite Charley Webb and her brother, Jamie Lomas, best known to “Hollyoaks” audiences, have announced the passing of their mother, Helen, on Mother’s Day — the end of a 12-year journey with Alzheimer’s disease.

Webb was the first to share the news with her followers, posting a childhood photograph — waiting for you at the end of the article — of herself pressing a kiss to her mother’s cheek. The image alone said a great deal, but her caption said even more.

“My beautiful Mum left us today on Mother’s Day. 15/03/2026 ❤️ The past twelve years were stolen from us, that’s the only way to describe this feeling. ‘The long goodbye'”, the actress shared.

She continued, “Thank you to everyone for all of your support, especially everyone that’s looked after her so well for the last 3 years. And to all of my closest people, I couldn’t life without you 🫶🏽”.

What makes Webb’s loss feel all the more personal is what she quietly gave up along the way — she had spent years as the much-loved Debbie Dingle on the long-running Yorkshire soap before stepping away.

One fan was quick to acknowledge it in the comments, writing“So sad, Charley gave up her role in ‘Emmerdale’ to care for her mum, what a lovely daughter.” Lomas, meanwhile, shared his own tribute alongside a photograph of the two of them together.

In it, he wrote that after 12 years, their mother had finally gone, and that for anyone who has ever cared for someone with Alzheimer’s, there is an uncomfortable truth that comes with it — you do not lose them once, but twice.

He described watching a woman who had always been so strong gradually become, in his words, a shell of who she once was — and the immense difficulty of bearing witness to that, year after year.

He closed by telling her she was now at peace, that she was loved and would be deeply missed, and that she had been the very first person to love him, before the world had even had the chance.

He also took a moment to thank every member of staff who had cared for his mother, calling each of them truly remarkable. Online, the response from fans was immediate.

Netizens flooded social media with messages of love and support, with many clearly moved not just by the loss itself, but by the particular cruelty of its timing.

“Heartbreaking so sorry for your loss xx,” wrote one person. “So sorry for your loss. Loosing a parent anytime of the year is hard but to suffer the lost on their special day must be tenfold [sic]. Thinking of you all at this time,” said another.

A third offered something simpler but no less warm. “How sad for you all especially on Mother’s Day of all days, thinking of you all, hold on to all your precious memories of her,” they shared.

Meanwhile, not everyone was prepared for the news. “No way she’s to young for thst [sic],” one commenter typed — a reaction shared by many who read the posts.

The actors’ mother is now remembered by her children not through grand gestures, but through the small, aching details they chose to share — a childhood photograph, a final thank-you, and one line from a son who had never forgotten that his mother loved him first.

Keir Starmer, 63, Sparks Buzz with Stylish Downing Street Makeover – Including a Designer Bed Reportedly Costing Up to £2,000

While the numbers have sparked debate, the setting itself — steeped in history and tradition — offers a striking contrast. Curious how it all looks? The photos at the end of this article reveal the interiors inside No. 10, giving readers a closer look at the world behind the headlines.

Sir Keir Starmer has found himself at the centre of a fresh political storm after details emerged of a taxpayer-funded refurbishment of his Downing Street residence.

Since moving into the No. 11 flat following Labour’s 2024 general election win, the Prime Minister and Lady Starmer have overseen a taxpayer-funded refurbishment of their grace-and-favour home that totals a cool £30,000 — and the itemised bill is turning heads.

Officials acting for the couple furnished the four-bedroom flat with a £1,400 designer bed, a £1,395 TV unit, and three sofas costing £4,440 combined, according to figures revealed by GB News.

A pair of dining tables set the public purse back £1,207.50, while six kitchen chairs came in at £990. Perhaps the most eyebrow-raising line on the bill, though, was the £1,630.26 spent on a single shower screen.

The spending continued through the bedroom and beyond. The main bed was joined by a second at £561.67 and a third at £482.50.

A luxury armchair cost £750, two Ottoman blanket boxes totalled over £600, and two dressing tables came to a combined £397.83. Painting works alone accounted for £9,164, with a further £2,803 spent on “storage throughout” and £721.94 on new blinds.

Downing Street has been notably guarded about how much direct input the Starmers had in choosing the furnishings, with an insider telling GB News, “It’s not unusual for the PM’s family to be consulted on certain elements of the refurbishment but wouldn’t have the details.”

A Downing Street spokesman also shared, “The flat was empty when the PM entered office, so the Cabinet Office furnished it as per long-standing guidance across successive administrations.”

“The refurbishment came under the allocated budget, and none of the items belong to the Prime Minister. They will remain the property of the Government for future use,” the spokesman added.

That last detail is worth noting. The £30,000 figure sits precisely within the official annual allowance available to prime ministers for maintaining and furnishing Downing Street — so technically, everything is above board.

But for a government that has repeatedly asked the public to tighten its belt, the optics are proving tricky to shake. The timing has also proved politically sensitive, with critics pointing to the contrast between the refurbishment and the economic pressures facing households across the UK.

The taxpayer-funded refurbishment subsequently triggered a wave of online reaction, with frustration and disbelief dominating much of the commentary. One person said“Makes you sick,” while another shared, “None of them live in the real world.”

A third remarked“Oh to be in power and rich!” and another typed, “Bed never used. Hes [sic] hardly ever here!” Not all responses were critical, however. Some pushed back against the backlash, arguing the costs were being overstated.

One person commented“Designer bed for £1.4 k, most decent beds from any high street store costs [sic] more than that,” while another added“You are really scraping the barrel here. That’s hardly high end prices, and you know it.”

The situation carries a particular sting as well, given Keir Starmer’s own history of criticising his predecessor’s home improvements.

Back in 2021, he was among the loudest voices hammering Boris Johnson for the latter’s “gold-plated” renovation of No. 10, which included luxury wallpaper and an interior overhaul that spiralled beyond £200,000.

That bill included a pair of sofas priced at more than £15,000, a £6,000 lamp, curtains and upholstery running to £21,280, and even a £500 tablecloth.

Johnson later justified the refurbishment by telling LBC’s Nick Ferrari that the flat had looked “a bit like a crack den” before he moved in, adding that his expensive wallpaper “wasn’t gold.” Johnson was ultimately ordered to repay the full excess beyond the official allowance himself.

As scrutiny continues to build, the focus remains not just on the figures themselves, but on what they represent in the current climate. For a closer look inside the historic setting at the heart of the debate, scroll down and see the images for yourself.

Beyond the headlines surrounding Downing Street’s interiors, Starmer has also been navigating mounting pressure on the global stage — with decisions made far from Westminster now carrying just as much political weight at home.

The Prime Minster stepped into the Commons on 2 March 2026, facing pressure from Washington, unrest on his own benches, and a volatile situation in the Middle East that threatened to test Britain’s alliances.

By the time he sat down, he had delivered a clear message — the UK would not be drawn into offensive strikes on Iran, and the Prime Minister was prepared to absorb the fallout.

Starmer confirmed that President Donald Trump had objected to Britain’s refusal to join the initial wave of US action. A widely shared clip from the chamber captured him addressing that disagreement directly.

He said, “President Trump has expressed his disagreement with our decision not to get involved in the initial strikes, but it is my duty to judge what is in Britain’s national interest. That is what I’ve done, and I stand by it.”

That assertion — delivered without hesitation — came after Trump publicly declared he was “very disappointed” and accused Starmer of taking “far too long” to adjust his stance on allowing American forces to operate from British bases.

The US president also suggested that the UK’s early reluctance to participate was without precedent, raising questions about the state of the transatlantic alliance at a critical moment.

Yet Starmer made clear that Britain’s position had been shaped by caution rather than confrontation. He rejected the idea of what he described as regime change imposed from the air and reiterated that the UK would not join the US-Israeli strikes.

He told MPs, “The use of British bases is limited to the agreed defensive purposes… We are not joining the US-Israeli strikes.”

The distinction is central to Downing Street’s defence. Over the weekend, after Tehran launched drones and missiles at states in the region, the Government authorised US forces to use UK bases strictly for defensive operations against potential Iranian retaliation.

Ministers have denied that this amounts to a reversal, pointing out that Britain neither participated in the original strikes nor endorsed them.

Inside the chamber, Starmer widened the lens. He warned that international crises now reverberate quickly at home — pushing up prices, unsettling communities, and fuelling anxiety.

Any response, he argued, had to meet two tests — legality and viability. Invoking the shadow of Iraq, he stressed that military decisions must rest on a lawful basis and a credible plan.

The Prime Minister remarked, “The lessons of history has taught us that it is important when we make decisions like this that we establish there is a lawful basis for what the United Kingdom is doing. […] And there is a viable thought-through plan with an objective that can be achieved.”

Alongside the foreign policy recalibration, Starmer confirmed that security measures would be strengthened at Jewish and Muslim places of worship across the UK, acknowledging the domestic tensions that can follow overseas conflict.

He also repeated that Britain would act to protect its nationals in the region and support allies in collective self-defence, while continuing to call for diplomacy. Politically, however, the balancing act is fraught. Some Labour MPs have privately welcomed the refusal to take part in offensive action.

Others are said to be furious that US forces will still be able to operate from British soil, even in a defensive capacity. The Prime Minister is therefore navigating not only a diplomatic dispute abroad, but a party divide at home.

Online, reaction has been just as polarised. Those backing Starmer saw his stance to be long overdue, as one person said, “He’s got this one right.. [sic] at last!”

Another shared, “For the first time ever I agree with him. He showed he has guts to stand up for the people of Britain.” A third commented, “Now that’s a real man,” while a fourth person typed, “That’ll be a first, putting Britain first!”

Critics, meanwhile, predicted turmoil. One person wrote, “Guys I need some popcorn…. its gonna get bad [sic].” Another said“Starmer is as unstable as water.”

A third urged“Stay in the uk. Stay safe! Don’t put your nose in others matters [sic],” and a final netizen claimed“starmer has just signed his resignation letter…..dark forces will trigger a general election….thank god [sic].”

For now, Sir Keir Starmer’s position is clear — no participation in offensive strikes, limited cooperation on defence, and a renewed push for talks. Whether that formula steadies relations with Washington — and calms dissent within Labour — will depend on how events unfold in the days ahead.

Orla Wates, 19, Passes Away During Trip Before Enrolling at Durham University, Saving 3 Lives

She had the whole world ahead of her. A place at Durham University was waiting, south-east Asia was her playground, and by all accounts, Vietnam had already stolen her heart. Then, on a winding mountain road in the north of the country, everything changed.

Orla Wates, a 19-year-old British student, passed away at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Hanoi on 2 April 2026, following a motorbike collision on the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam.

Wates had been making her way through south-east Asia on her gap year, just weeks before she was due to start her studies at Durham University. The Ha Giang Loop is a roughly 350 km route winding through the mountains of northern Vietnam, near the Chinese border.

Popular with tourists and backpackers, the multi-day journey typically takes three to four days by motorbike, passing through some of the country’s most dramatic highland scenery.

However, it is frequently navigated by inexperienced riders travelling pillion with tour operators, and the road has a troubling history. According to reports, a French woman and a Spanish man lost their lives when their motorbike collided with a truck trailer in 2018.

A year before that, another Spanish national passed away after riding off a cliff. As for Wates, she had been riding pillion when the driver lost control.

The 19-year-old was then thrown onto the road and struck by a lorry, with the cause of the collision remaining under investigation, according to Viet Nam News. Her parents, Andrew and Henrietta Wates, described their daughter as a young woman who truly livedadding:

“Orla was beautiful, independent, and very funny, with a sharp wit. She loved to look good and lived life to the full.”

Wates’s father is a director at the £2.4 billion construction firm Wates Group, which he joined in 1995 and whose board he has sat on since 2011.

Beyond his role at the company, he chairs the Wates Foundation, an independent grant-making trust that has supported the charitable and voluntary sector for nearly five decades.

The director also leads the Construction Youth Trust, an organisation founded in 1961 to help young people facing significant barriers to education and employment. He serves on the governing body of The Clothworkers’ Company, too, and, in 2024, became a trustee of the Unicorn Theatre.

A representative from Viet Duc Friendship Hospital acknowledged the family’s generosity publicly.

However, the construction firm director placed work on hold so that he and his wife were by their daughter’s side when she passed.

In the days that followed, after personally thanking the hospital’s Dr Trịnh Van Dong and the ICU team for their care, the couple made an extraordinary decision — to donate their daughter’s organs.

Wates’s liver, kidneys, and corneas were transplanted to three critically ill Vietnamese patients. Her mother explained what had driven the choice:

“At this extremely difficult time for our family, we chose to donate Orla’s organs, as we believe that if there were a way to give opportunity to others, this is what Orla would have wanted. Knowing that she is living on through them brings us great comfort.”

Wates’s father, speaking in an emotional interview at the hospital, shared his own reasoning, stating, “Vietnam was a country she loved and so to give back to Vietnam as well I think is very important for us.”

Her mother added, “She had the best time here, she was loving every minute of it. So it is our way of thanking you.”

A representative from Viet Duc Friendship Hospital acknowledged the family’s generosity publicly. “In the face of profound grief, her family made a deeply compassionate decision that transcended nationality and race — to donate her organs, giving others a chance at life,” they said.

“The act has moved many, as her gift now offers hope to patients suffering from organ failure in Vietnam. One journey has come to an end, but her life continues quietly and resiliently in others who have been given a second chance,” they continued.

In a video shared online, Wates’s parents can be seen kissing the 19-year-old goodbye, weeping as they held her one last time.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office confirmed that its consular staff are supporting the family, as an FCDO spokesperson shared, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Orla Wates, following her tragic death in Vietnam.”

The spokesperson added, “We are in touch with the local authorities, and our consular staff are doing all they can to support Orla’s family at this hugely difficult time.”

Online, the news prompted an outpouring of condolences. One reader wrote“Beautiful girl, so very sad.” Another added, “Oh how sad. So sad. So sorry. Her poor parents. Their hearts must be broken beyond belief. It’s too tragic.”

A third shared, “Awful news for any parent! So sorry for all of them,” while a fourth commented“That is no life and the pain of losing a child unimaginable [sic]. RIP.”

The Real Reason Amanda Holden Married Les Dennis at 24, Despite Their 17-Year Age Gap — Their Relationship Timeline in Photos

She was 23, ambitious, and had her whole career ahead of her — so why did Amanda Holden choose to marry a man 17 years her senior? The photos below take you through it.

Amanda Holden is no stranger to headlines. The “Britain’s Got Talent” judge has lived a life that reads more like a primetime drama than a quiet celebrity love story.

Even her professional relationships attract attention — she called fellow BGT judge Simon Cowell “godlike”, and once caused a stir when the pair went out for dinner. “He teases me it was a date but it wasn’t,” she told The Times in 2023. “We went out for dinner and I took my best friend.”

But for all the headlines her professional life has generated, nothing has proven more enduring — or more divisive — than what happened in her personal one.

Holden, who was raised by her mother Judith and stepfather Les, worked gruelling jobs to put herself through drama school. She was only 23 when she married Les Dennis, the beloved comedian and “Family Fortunes” presenter who was 17 years her senior.

The pair had met around 1993, and Holden later acknowledged the romance began as purely platonic. “I don’t think I consciously fancied him at this stage,” she admitted. Yet, by 1995, roughly two years after first crossing paths, the pair was walking down the aisle.

So what drew her to him? Holden herself has been refreshingly candid — if not entirely certain. Hints of a pattern emerged early: as a 19-year-old contestant on the dating show “Blind Date”, she had declared her ideal man to be actor Jack Nicholson, 33 years her senior.

Years later, when asked whether her marriage to Dennis was about seeking a father figure, she didn’t dismiss the idea outright.

“I don’t know because I’ve never done therapy, but there is a sort of safety in a relationship like that,” she reflected. “I was very young and I had a lot to learn about life.”

The marriage lasted eight years. In 2000, Holden had a highly publicised affair with “Men Behaving Badly” actor Neil Morrissey. The couple attempted a reconciliation in 2001, but by 2002, it was over, and the split was public and notoriously messy.

Dennis appeared on “Celebrity Big Brother” that year, looking visibly devastated, famously making gloomy small talk with chickens. He has since acknowledged the age gap itself was problematic — recalling the moment a visiting plumber remarked “Kids, eh?” after Holden rushed in to ask him for money.

The internet, naturally, has had its own verdict. Opinions have been fierce since the story recently reignited public interest.

“He was a stepping stone for her,” one commenter declared bluntly. “He was her leg up. And she was his leg over,” another quipped with brutal wit. Others were less humorous and more heartbroken on Dennis’ behalf.

“I know it broke his heart,” one person wrote quietly. “He was used,” another stated flatly. Perhaps most pointed of all, a third said“Les Dennis was at the top of his game when they met. She was just someone he married.”

Dennis, to his credit, has found some lightness in the wreckage. Speaking on Christopher Biggins’ podcast in 2021, he looked back fondly on the period shortly after his divorce when he starred in pantomimes alongside the late American actor Mickey Rooney.

Before each show, the theatre would play Christmas songs — among them Frank Sinatra’s “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. As Dennis recalled, Rooney would become quite infuriated hearing the beloved classic, and for good reason: Sinatra had run off with Ava Gardner, Rooney’s wife.

Dennis drew a wry parallel to his own situation. Given that Morrissey had voiced the character Bob the Builder for 14 years, Dennis quipped, “It would’ve been like me having to listen to Bob the Builder every night.”

Morrissey, for his part, didn’t formally apologise to Dennis for the affair until 2014, appearing on “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories” to say he felt sorry for “how emotional Les seemed to become.”

Holden herself has never shied away from accountability. “I brought it on myself, I appreciate that, but nothing will ever be as bad again,” she told the Daily Mail. “It was a very dark time. It got to the point where I felt I could hardly breathe.”

In a striking twist, she credited Dennis himself with helping her through the fallout. “Les proved to be my saviour. Ironically. So the person I’d hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me.”

Still, she was equally unflinching about why the marriage ultimately couldn’t survive. “I terribly want children, but I didn’t want to have them with Les,” she revealed in a resurfaced interview. “That’s a horribly brutal thing to say, but when you do, you know you have to move on.”

Reflecting on the marriage more recently, Holden said, “As much as I regret hurting people maybe, or causing chaos, it shapes you to who you are in this moment. I think life is too short to have regrets.”

It’s a remarkably composed perspective on one of British tabloid history’s most turbulent love stories — and one that continues to spark fierce debate decades on.
