At the 98th Oscars at the Dolby Theater on March 15, 2026, in Hollywood, California, Rose Byrne stepped onto the carpet in a look that immediately turned heads.

A Glamorous Close-Up Moment

A closer look at Byrne’s appearance showed just how polished the entire ensemble really was. Byrne faces the camera in a close-up portrait, wearing a strapless black gown and a slender gold necklace with a teardrop pendant. Her polished look, highlighted by a bold red lip and softly contoured makeup, stands out against a warm-toned Oscars backdrop.

Another striking moment captured Byrne elegantly turning over her shoulder on the red carpet in her sleek, strapless black gown adorned with delicate floral embroidery, her hair neatly parted and pulled into a smooth bun.

Behind her, the glowing gold Oscar statue and red floral arrangements frame the elegant scene as guests mingle beneath champagne-colored drapes.

Another candid moment captured Byrne mid-conversation as the Oscars buzzed around her. With her hair sleekly parted and pulled into a low bun, she stands among fellow attendees, a delicate gold pendant catching the warm event lighting.

Surrounded by guests in formal attire, Byrne appears engaged in conversation, her expression alert and animated as she looks toward someone just out of frame. The full ensemble of her outfit revealed a striking silhouette that fans and fashion watchers quickly labeled one of the night’s most memorable looks.

A Dress That Stopped the Red Carpet

Rose Byrne stands on the Oscars red carpet in a strapless black mermaid gown richly embroidered with delicate floral patterns that trail from the bodice down to the sweeping hem and train. The fitted silhouette hugs her figure before flaring dramatically at the knees, while intricate white and pastel blossoms are stitched across the fabric, adding soft contrast to the deep black dress.

She completed the elegant look with a sleek center-parted bun, bold red lipstick, and a delicate gold pendant necklace, posing confidently against the warm-toned Oscars backdrop.

According to the Daily Mail, the couture gown’s intricate floral embroidery made a bold statement. At the same time, Byrne elevated the look with a dazzling TAFFIN diamond necklace featuring a 22.58-carat yellow-brown pear-shaped Desert Diamond.

Meanwhile, Town & Country noted that the actress sparked conversation on the red carpet with a one-of-a-kind cognac diamond and chocolate enamel choker from Taffin by James De Givenchy. The jewelry shimmered beneath the bright lights, but fans online seemed just as captivated by the gown itself.

Fans Quickly Declared a Fashion Winner

Before long, social media was filled with reactions celebrating Byrne’s look. One Instagrammer wrote under a post“Finally someone wore the perfect dress!!!” Another fan added, “Best dressed so far! Stunning! ❤️” A third admirer declared, “Rose is perfection this awards season.”

More praise followed in response to another post showcasing the glamoros look. One comment read, “Flawless, perfect red lip & beading details are incredible. Rose has risen to the occasion.” Another fan gushed, “She looks incredible… that necklace is off the charts.”

Yet as stunning as those solo portraits were, the most heartwarming moment came when Byrne was joined by someone very special.

Enter Bobby Cannavale

Soon, Byrne appeared alongside longtime partner Bobby Cannavale, and the pair instantly looked like red-carpet royalty. Cannavale stands tall in a classic black tuxedo, crisp white shirt, and black bow tie, completing the look with dark-tinted sunglasses and polished black dress shoes.

The actor faces the cameras with a relaxed smile as the pair hold hands in front of the warm-toned Oscars backdrop.

A Love Story Behind the Glamor

While their red-carpet chemistry is undeniable, Byrne and Cannavale’s story goes back years. According to Vanity Fair, the couple first met during Byrne’s “Damages years after being introduced by a mutual friend.

Glenn Close, one of Byrne’s co-stars, once said of the pair, “The chemistry between them, it’s just so remarkable,” adding that “they’re both kind of universally loved.” Their lives have been anything but static since then.

The same report notes that Byrne and Cannavale moved to Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill neighborhood in 2016, just three days before their son Rocco was born, later juggling work trips to sets in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Sydney.

The couple has also shared the stage professionally. In fact, their collaborations go beyond theater. Byrne and Cannavale have appeared together in several films, including “Spy” (2015), “Annie” (2014), “Adult Beginners” (2014), “Seriously Red” (2022), and “Ezra” (2024), adding an extra layer of chemistry to their on-screen work.

Gwyneth Paltrow arrived in a plunging lingerie-inspired gown that left nerizens totally confused. One observer bluntly asked, “Is the gown on backwards?” while another wondered, “Where’s the rest of her dress? 🤷🏻‍♀️” A third added, “She’s beautiful but she doesn’t look comfortable or confident.”

Demi Moore’s sculptural look also missed the mark for some, specifically a massive white tulle piece on the back. “That’s a big bunny tail…” one fan commented on Facebook, while another asked, “What’s on her right hand? Brass knuckles?” One critic even joked, “Looks like she’s wearing a car seat! 🤣”

Jenna Ortega also leaned into the lingerie trend with a slip dress that featured a lace-torn bodice. While she looked stunning with Gothic makeup, some fans were disappointed. One critic wrote, “Sorry, but it looks like a nightgown,” while another said, “I love her, but not the slip. It’s ripped to shreds.”

Sarah Pidgeon took a major risk in a dusty-pink double balloon maxi dress with an exaggerated silhouette. Unfortunately, the look did not receive the best reviews. “Worst dress I’ve ever seen 😳” commented one harsh viewer. Another simply stated, “She’s beautiful the dress not so much.”

Tiger Woods Is a Proud Dad of Two Children — Their Lives in 30+ Photos

One of sports’ most iconic figures has always said his greatest role has nothing to do with a golf club, and these photos prove exactly why.

Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren share two children, Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel Woods, who have grown up in the public eye despite their parents’ very private co-parenting arrangement.

What many fans don’t realize is just how deeply fatherhood has shaped Tiger’s journey, especially through some of his darkest moments, and the full picture only becomes clear once you see them together through the years.

A Family Rebuilt After a Very Public Goodbye

Tiger and Elin’s divorce was finalized in 2010, following a scandal that had dominated headlines for months.

The couple appeared at Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Florida, to execute their divorce agreement, and released a joint statement that put their children front and center from the very start.

“We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future,” they said, adding:

“While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”

The financial terms of the settlement were never officially disclosed, though reports at the time suggested Elin could walk away with anywhere from $100 million to several times that amount.

Although she had signed a prenuptial agreement before the marriage, it was renegotiated in the wake of Tiger’s public scandal that had derailed his personal life and professional career.

But by all accounts, the real priority for both parents was custody, and from day one, they were committed to sharing it equally.

Just a year later, Tiger was already opening up about what single fatherhood actually looked like in practice. He admitted to reporters back then that while the job was undeniably demanding and difficult, he found it deeply rewarding because it was the specific type of work he truly enjoyed.

He went on to say of Sam, then 3, and Charlie, then 2:

“I just love being with them and seeing what they’re doing, what they’re capable of doing — the joys, just the shifts of interest. … It’s just fun. We have a great time together.”

That warmth and dedication would define every chapter of his parenting story, starting with his eldest.

Sam Alexis Woods: Daddy’s Girl Through and Through

Sam was born on June 18, 2007, and her name carries a story that Tiger was quick to share. The golfer told reporters that the name Sam connects back to a special memory of his late father.

He said that since the baby arrived right after Father’s Day, he and Elin wanted a name that meant something to both families. In the end, the choice was easy because Tiger’s father had always called him Sam, never Tiger.

“I would ask him, ‘Why don’t you ever call me Tiger?’ He says, ‘Well, you look more like a Sam,'” he revealed.

Sam was barely six months old when she attended one of her father’s tournaments for the first time, with her mother by her side, watching Tiger win the Target World Challenge Golf Tournament in Thousand Oaks, California, in December 2007.

It was an early sign of just how intertwined her life would be with the sport, even if her relationship with golf would later become complicated.

By 2023, a video shared by the PGA Tour on Instagram showed Sam, then 16, caddying for her father, dressed in the uniform vest, arranging his clubs with ease, and waiting patiently while he played.

But Sam’s relationship with golf isn’t entirely simple. In a candid interview with Carson Daly on “Today” in May 2024, Tiger opened up about why his daughter doesn’t really play the game herself, even after being seen on the bag.

“You know, hey, when she was growing up, golf took Daddy away from her. I had to pack, and I had to leave. I had to golf for weeks. And there’s a negative connotation to it,” he explained.

But they still built a wonderful bond. Tiger continued, “So we developed our own relationship, our own rapport, that’s outside of golf, that we do things that don’t involve golf. Meanwhile, my son and I, we do everything golf-related. It’s just very different.”

Still, she has always been there when it counted most. In a 2015 interview with Time, when Tiger was battling serious back issues with no clear timetable for recovery, he described a moment that stopped him cold.

When she asked what was wrong and he told her his back wasn’t doing well, her response was simply, “Again?”

And of course, fans all over the world have noticed how Sam has grown into her own, and they have taken to social media with comments whenever they spot photos.

On Facebook, a picture from 2024 showing Tiger, Sam, and her little brother on the golf course attracted attention. One person commented, “Such cute kids! They look like their mother…,” while another noted, “Wow she definitely has her Dad’s smile [sic].”

And from another post came this observation: “Great looking kids. She looks so much like her mom.”

Speaking of good kids, Tiger’s youngest has stirred just as much excitement, and he might be even more talented than his father.

Charlie Axel Woods: The Son Who Inherited the Swing

Charlie Axel arrived on February 8, 2009, and his name, like Sam’s, came with intention. Tiger explained it simply:

“We had a couple names and Charlie just fit. As far as the Axel, that’s Elin’s brother’s name so we wanted to make sure it stayed in the family.”

Unlike Sam, Charlie took to golf early and hard, and Tiger has made no secret of how much joy that brings him. By the time his son was old enough to swing a club properly, Tiger was already marveling at what he saw.

“He’s starting to get into it. He’s starting to understand how to play. He’s asking me the right questions,” Tiger said. “It reminds me so much of me and my dad growing up.”

He even admitted feeling a bit jealous when watching Charlie swing a golf club. He mentioned that he frequently studies his son’s technique and finds himself wishing he could still move his body with that same level of flexibility and rotation.

The two went on to compete together in the PNC Championship multiple times, and Tiger has made clear, repeatedly, that no physical setback is enough to keep him away from those moments.

In 2022, still recovering from a serious car accident and battling plantar fasciitis in his right foot, both Tiger and a 13-year-old Charlie were noticeably limping during the pro-am at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando.

The teenager had sprained his ankle, but was ready to go for the first round. Tiger, who was permitted to use a cart for the 36-hole scramble, didn’t hesitate when asked whether playing was worth delaying his recovery.

The Life of Marlon Wayans: His Siblings, Parenting Struggles & Being in the Best Shape at 53

The comedian with one of Hollywood’s most recognizable last names turns out to have a far more complicated and compelling private life than most people realize, including a surprise daughter whose future in entertainment is already unfolding.

Marlon Wayans has spent decades making audiences laugh alongside his brothers, but the stories happening off-screen, from the crowded apartment he shared with nine siblings to a custody battle he never planned for, are just as gripping.

Now, there’s a toddler daughter who just landed her first movie role, and a physical transformation fueled by grief, purpose, and a 15-pound chain on his back.

He continued:

“I just lost 20 lbs busting my behind every day ’cause I didn’t wanna show up to set as Shorty buff at 225. That’d be lazy of me. I wanna do the work, I wanna look like Shorty. So when I’m able to [in his Shorty voice] have fun and [expletive], people are able to laugh at me, son.”

The weight loss was intentional and demanding, and it is only one piece of a broader shift in how he approaches his body.

At 53, and working with trainer Adam Quinter for several months, the Men’s Health profile on his routine makes clear that Marlon might be in “the best mind-and-body shape of his life.”

He works out at the Elite Performance Clinic in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, and his sessions are built differently than anything he has done before.

He starts with 10 minutes in a redox room, then spinal decompression, then 15 minutes of meditation before a full-body circuit involving chains on his back for weighted pushups and pullups, 30-pound dumbbells on step-ups, Romanian deadlifts, and sled pushes. He was doing this with a bruised rib in 2025.

But Adam’s first recommendations were not about lifting at all. He told Marlon to build a meditation room in his home and prescribed 30-minute daily walks. The shift, Marlon said, was about working smarter rather than just harder.

The motivation behind all of it goes deeper than aesthetics. It was healing as he lost both his parents in the early 2020s. Aside from exercise, he also coped by writing a comedy special and started developing another one centered on Kai’s transition and his own journey through it.

Ten Kids, One Alarm, and a Father Who Didn’t Play

The Wayans name carries weight in Hollywood, but the foundation was built long before any of them ever stepped on a stage. There are ten Wayans siblings in total, born to Howell and Elvira Wayans, and the way they were raised had everything to do with who they became.

Growing up in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan in the 1970s, the Wayans children were under the authority of a father who ran a tight household.

Their patriarch set the alarm for 5 a.m. every single day. According to Shawn Wayans, who spoke about it in 2017:

“He made us get out of bed then and get him coffee. We did that before we went to school and even on weekends. On Sunday we would get him the paper. That made us who we are since we started our days early and worked hard all our of our life.”

Marlon, the youngest of the brothers, has often echoed the same sentiment about their father. The neighborhood that is now considered prestigious was, by the family’s own account, a difficult place to grow up. As Shawn put it, “[It] was like growing up in Beirut. We were poor. It was hard.”

Newspaper as Toilet Paper and Toothpaste Cut Open

When Kerry Washington asked Marlon in January 2022 on “Street You Grew Up On” what it was really like sharing a home with that many people, his answer was vivid.

The toilet paper ran out so fast that they resorted to newspaper. One bathroom had a tub, the other just a sink and a toilet. The toothpaste got cut open once it appeared empty so that they could scrape the last bit of product out.

“It was tough, man,” he said. “The hardest part is just having that many people; it’s kind of uncomfortable, and it was crowded.”

But there was another side to it. “The benefit was it was always so much love and so much fun,” he continued. “There was always an adventure, it was never boring, and we always had each other to lean on and make jokes.”

Marlon also spoke about losing his mother in 2020, and how having that many siblings around meant having that many people to lean on during the grief.

This bond has carried well into adulthood. In 2023, he told Us Weekly, “One thing everyone should know about the Wayans brothers is that we live for each other and we die for each other. We truly love each other.”

And not just the siblings; they are there for each other’s extended families. He flew 25 nieces and nephews out to his Vegas show in 2022 just to get them all in the same room, making a deliberate point about the family name.

“With this legacy that we have, we can’t let it just be about what your forefathers did,” he said. “We got to pick up that torch [sic].”

The Son He Didn’t Expect to Have

Marlon has two older children, Kai Zackery and Shawn Howell Wayans, from his long-term relationship with Angelica Zackery, which lasted from 1992 to 2013.

Kai, his eldest, was born Amai and is transgender, identifying as a man. Marlon has been open about his own evolution on the subject, as it took him a while to understand.

Back in 2019, during an interview on REAL 92.3 LA, he recalled the moment Kai, then 14, “came out” to him by referencing the Katy Perry song “I Kissed a Girl.”

Marlon’s response was to laugh and ask why Kai was breaking the news to him through Katy Perry when there were so many other artists to choose from. But underneath the humor, the point he was making was serious. “I don’t judge my kid. I love,” he said.

Additionally, in 2023, on Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM, Marlon was even more candid about the full arc of the experience. “I talk about the transition—not their transition, but my transition as a parent going from ignorance and denial to complete unconditional love and acceptance,” he explained.

He still stumbles on the pronouns as Kai uses he/them. But the comendian owns that, too. “It messes with me when I say ‘they.’ I’m like, Which one you talking about? How many? But I got to respect their wishes, right?”

Both Kai and Shawn are now in their 20s, and he called them “the smartest Wayans, hands down.” His pride is unmistakable, even when he is still working through the language. “They know I love them. They see me try, and they’re like, ‘I’m happy.'”

The Baby He Kept Quiet, and the Custody Fight That Followed

Then there is Axl, the daughter most people did not know about until a paternity suit made headlines in March 2024. Marlon had welcomed Axl July Ivory Wayans in December 2022 with ex Brittany Moreland, signing a voluntary declaration of parentage the day after her birth.

He had kept her existence quiet and was blunt about why. “The baby isn’t a secret. The mama has been posted. But I chose to keep the baby’s private life private,” he told The Shade Room. “Social media is toxic and dangerous, and I’d like to keep her peace.”

But when Moreland filed for full legal and physical custody, asking that Marlon receive only visitation rights, he pushed back because he was already paying $18,000 in child support for her daughter. But he felt the mother suddenly demanded too much.

“I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited.”

By July 2024, according to People, Marlon filed his response to the petition, asking the court for joint legal and physical custody. He had one pointed objection to his current status.

“Do you pay all that money per month and be called a ‘visitor?’ Do the math. This is delusional,” he asserted. Although there have been no official updates on this custody battle, the now three-year-old seems to be ready to get into the family business.

Three Years Old and Already on a Movie Set

In a June 2024 interview on WGN Morning News, Marlon appeared on camera while wrangling Axl mid-interview, calling her “Little Wonder” and joking that she runs the show, indicating that he was at least taking care of her often and had not become just a “visitor.”

“I have a 24 and a 22-year-old, and now I have a one-year-old,” he told the host, laughing. “And this one is funny.” That toddler energy, apparently, has already translated into a film set.

In May 2026, TMZ reported that Axl had signed a deal to appear in a film called “Hudson Avenue,” where she played the role of Princess Axl. Her mother, Brittany, signed off on the agreement, and Axl earned a daily rate of $1,246.

But aside from family and parenting, there’s another huge aspect of Marlon’s life that most people may not be aware of.

His Transformation: Solid Work Ethic, But Different Approach

The physical aspect of Marlon’s story is its own chapter. In 2025, he was promoting the Jordan Peele-produced film “Him,” in which he played an aging quarterback, while simultaneously shooting the final season of Peacock’s “Bel-Air” and touring nationally in stand-up from February through December.

On top of all that, he was co-writing “Scary Movie 6” alongside brothers Keenen Ivory Wayans and Shawn. It was the first time the three brothers had written an original script together in 18 years, and the movie is now set to premiere on June 5, 2026.

Adam Sandler, 59, and Wife Jackie Turn Up at NYC Premiere in Contrasting Looks as Daughters Sadie and Sunny Steal the Show — Photos

Adam Sandler brought his signature style to a family night out, while his wife, Jackie, and daughters Sadie and Sunny dressed up for a milestone premiere.

The Sandlers gathered at New York’s Plaza Hotel on August 10, 2026, for Netflix’s “Don’t Say Good Luck.” Their coordinated family photos soon gave social media users plenty to discuss.

Adam Sandler and His Family Step Out for the Premiere

Adam, Jackie, Sadie and Sunny posed together at the New York premiere, with each family member bringing a different style to the red carpet.

Adam, 59, kept his look characteristically relaxed. He wore a bright blue short-sleeved polo covered in a pink flamingo print. He paired the shirt with loose blue athletic-style pants and red-and-gray sneakers.

Jackie opted for a more polished look in a fitted, sleeveless black midi dress with a scoop neckline. She carried a metallic gold clutch and completed the outfit with strappy heels. Her long brown hair was worn loose with a center part.

Sadie, 20, also wore black, choosing a floor-length dress with thin straps and a fitted, satin-like bodice. Her dark hair fell straight past her shoulders, while black shoes completed her monochromatic look.

Sunny, 17, stood out in a floor-length dark green slip-style gown. The dress featured thin, light-colored straps and matching trim. She wore her dark hair loose in soft waves and accessorized with understated jewelry.

In the family photos, Jackie stood beside Adam, while Sadie and Sunny gathered on his other side. The four stood close together with their arms around one another as they smiled for photographers.

Adam and Jackie were also photographed together, giving a closer look at the contrast between his casual outfit and her black dress.

The Sandlers’ Family Photos Spark Reactions Online

After photos from the premiere circulated online, viewers weighed in on everything from Jackie’s appearance to Sunny’s green gown and the daughters’ resemblance to their parents.

On Facebook, some users speculated about Jackie based on her appearance in the photos. One netizen said, “OK, I have to ask. Is Jackie pregnant?” A second shared, “Is she expecting?” while a third wrote, “Awww they are having another baby 💙.”

Other commenters turned their attention to Sunny and the family’s red-carpet appearance. One person remarked, “The daughter in green is trying too hard to show off her ‘inappropriate’ dress.”

Another shared, “Boy sure does have beautiful daughters. Good luck on the film. Adam.” A different netizen praised Sunny’s look, writing, “Sunny is gorgeous and that dress is beautiful.”

On Instagram, users focused on the daughters’ resemblance to their parents. One commenter wrote, “The daughter in the black dress looks just like him while the other daughter in the green dress looks like her mom.” Someone else remarked, “The one standing directly next to him looks just exactly like him.”

Adam and Jackie Sandler Supported Sunny’s New Film

The premiere marked an important moment for Sunny, who stars in “Don’t Say Good Luck.” Adam and Jackie attended not only as her parents. Both are producers of the Netflix film, according to Netflix’s Tudum. The movie also reflects a wider family-oriented production.

Director Julia Hart co-wrote the screenplay with her husband and frequent collaborator, Jordan Horowitz, and Laura Hankin.

Horowitz is also among the film’s producers, alongside Adam, Jackie, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger. The family collaboration was part of what appealed to Sunny.

“Knowing that Julia and Jordan make movies together, and that all my family does is make movies together, made it a perfect match,” Sunny told Tudum.

Netflix also noted that family members of cast and crew appeared as extras, while family photos from people involved in the production were incorporated into the movie.

What Is ‘Don’t Say Good Luck’ About?

Sunny plays Sophie Birenbaum, a high school student who is preparing for the spotlight after landing the lead in her school musical. At the same time, her family faces a painful development when her mother Elizabeth’s cancer returns.

Hart told Tudum in its July 23 feature that the filmmakers had Sunny in mind from the outset.

“Sunny Sandler was the first and only person we thought of to play Sophie,” Hart said. Sunny also connected with the project immediately.

“I knew as soon as I heard about the idea that I loved it, believed in it, and wanted to do it,” she said. “Then I met with Julia, and it really made me want to do it.”

The role requires Sunny to portray the silliness, embarrassment and angst of adolescence alongside the heavier emotions that come with Sophie’s family situation. Hart said Sunny rose to that challenge.

“I knew she was going to be great, but she absolutely exceeded all of my expectations as an actor, and also as a singer, a hard worker, and an amazing leader on set,” the director said.

Melanie Lynskey plays Sophie’s mother, Elizabeth. Max Greenfield plays her father, Ted. Hart said Sunny and Lynskey took care of each other while working through some of the film’s most difficult scenes. Sunny also praised her costar’s ability to draw emotion from her.

“Melanie can bring so much out of you that you don’t even know you have,” Sunny said.

The story has roots in real life. According to Tudum, Hankin wrote the original draft based on her experience of getting the lead in her high school musical around the same time her mother’s cancer returned. Hart and Horowitz later collaborated on a rewrite.

That connection brought added responsibility for Sunny. “That was the hardest part for me, to portray a person that actually went through this,” she said. “It was also the most beautiful part of it.”

The ensemble also includes Jack Champion, Stephanie Beatriz, Scarlett Estevez, Emma McNulty, Elyse Bell, Bebe Neuwirth, Steve Buscemi and Jon Lovitz. “Don’t Say Good Luck” arrives on Netflix August 14.

Adam Sandler Supports His Daughters’ Acting Ambitions

Sunny’s starring role comes as both Sandler daughters continue building their acting careers. Adam discussed Sadie and Sunny’s ambitions with E! News at the 2025 Gotham Film Awards in December.

“They’re both really good kids and they love acting and they’re kind of into it, wanting to do it with their life,” he said. “So just pulling for them, want them to have a good, happy life.”

Sadie and Sunny have already appeared in projects with their father, including “Happy Gilmore 2” and “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.” Sadie also played Adam’s daughter in “Jay Kelly.”

Still, Adam said they are choosing their own direction. “They listen to me and then they’ve got their own path they wanna do,” he explained.

One path they do not plan to follow is their father’s background in stand-up comedy. “I was a standup comedian and they don’t wanna get in that,” Adam said. “They wanna just act.”

He said he was comfortable letting them make that choice. “They’re really funny, nice kids and whatever the hell they wanna do, I want them to be happy,” he added.

For Adam, working with his daughters has also brought the emotions of being a parent onto the set.

In a separate July 2025 interview with the outlet, he discussed watching Sadie and Sunny perform in “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“Oh, my god, you’re just relieved. Once they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent,” Adam said. He compared the feeling to watching a child get a hit during a baseball game.

Despite his own decades of experience, Adam said he does not routinely offer his daughters unsolicited advice. “Only if it lends that way, if they ask,” he said. “But most of the time you’re just happy that they’re feeling good.”

That approach reflects what Adam has said matters most as Sunny and Sadie Sandler pursue careers of their own. “I just like being around them, whether it’s on set or at home,” he told the outlet. “When we’re clicking, it’s the best.”

‘She Will Always Be Loved’: Loved Ones Remember Late 18-Year-Old College Student Sheridan Gorman

The case surrounding the student’s death began unfolding into something even more chilling, with haunting witness observations, surveillance clues, and a wave of grief that made clear this is a loss far bigger than a single headline.

What began as a simple late-night plan between friends has become one of those stories that is almost impossible to read without your chest tightening. And the more that emerges about Sheridan Gorman’s final hours, the more heartbreaking this tragedy becomes.

At first glance, it sounds like the kind of sweet college memory that was supposed to live on in photos and late-night retellings.

Instead, Gorman’s loved ones are now left clinging to memories, demanding answers, and trying to make sure the 18-year-old is remembered for far more than the horror of how her life ended.

A Night That Was Meant to Be Ordinary

Gorman was a freshman at Loyola University Chicago, far from home but just beginning what should have been an exciting new chapter. She was from Westchester County, New York, and friends said she had already made a bright impression on campus in the short time she’d been there.

She was studying business, building friendships, and getting involved with the Christian campus group Cru. Classmates described her as cheerful, “always smiling,” and the kind of person whose warmth traveled quickly. And then came the night that changed everything…

As reported by NBC Chicago, Gorman had left her dorm to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights with friends when she was shot and killed around 2:11 a.m. Thursday near Tobey Prinz Beach in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, close to campus.

Authorities said the masked gunman approached Gorman and her friends and fired in their direction. Gorman was struck and died at the scene.

Her family’s statement made clear just how normal and innocent that outing had been. “She was exactly where she should have been—close to campus, surrounded by friends, living her life,” they said.

Another quote from the campus community drove that point home even further. “She was doing everything right… there was nothing she could have done differently,” one student said, and honestly, that may be one of the most haunting truths in this entire case.

The Kind of Girl People Never Forget

Gorman’s loved ones described the loss in devastating terms. They said their lives have been shattered and called Gorman “our daughter, our sister, and the heart of our family.”

They said she was “full of life, full of kindness, and full of a love that she gave freely to everyone around her.” It is the portrait of a young woman whose impact had nothing to do with the number of years she lived and everything to do with how deeply she loved. According to her family, Gorman made people feel seen, and she made people feel valued.

Whether it was family, friends, or someone she had just met, they said she had a way of leaving people better than she found them. That is not the kind of description people offer lightly. Her death sent immediate shockwaves through Loyola’s campus.

Hundreds gathered for a vigil Thursday night to celebrate her life, while flowers and candles began piling up at the pier where she was killed.

That growing memorial became a symbol of both grief and fear. Many students said the shooting left them deeply uneasy, especially because Gorman had not been alone and had not been in a place considered dangerous.

One student said Loyola usually feels like a safe campus and that what happened was “out of the ordinary.” That sense of disbelief has hung over the school ever since.

But Gorman’s family has refused to let this story become just another tragic headline that people absorb and move past, as they have been heartbreakingly clear that what was taken was not an abstract idea, but an entire future.

“What happened to Sheridan cannot be reduced to the idea of someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” they said. “This is not an abstraction.” They called it what it is: the loss of a daughter, the loss of a sister, and the loss of milestones that will now never come to be. Their family, they said, is forever changed.

That same message came through again in reporting from CBS News, which quoted Gorman’s family saying, “What Sheridan was doing that night—walking with friends near her campus—was normal. It was safe. It is what students do every day.”

They added, “We will not allow this to be dismissed as ‘wrong place, wrong time.’ This was not random [sic] misfortune. This was a violent and preventable act.” That is a striking distinction, and one they are clearly determined to repeat until it is heard.

The family also made another painful point. “This cannot be just another case that fades from public attention. Sheridan’s life mattered. What happened to her matters. And we will make sure she is not forgotten.”

That insistence set the tone for what followed next, because as the mourning unfolded, investigators were also piecing together chilling details about the suspect and the moments after the shooting… And that is where the story took an even darker turn.

Details from the Incident and the Trail Investigators Followed

As reported by the Chicago Tribune, 25-year-old Jose Medina of the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road was charged with first-degree murderattempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.

The outlet reported that Gorman was shot shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday on the Loyola Beach Pier. A Rogers Park police report said officers found her on the pier with a gunshot wound to the back.

Officers also recovered a single shell casing about 40 feet from her body. According to the report, witnesses said a man in black clothes and a black mask pointed a gun at Gorman and fired one round as she tried to run away.

That detail alone is devastating. But the surveillance trail that followed made the case even more chilling. The Tribune reported that nearby surveillance video allegedly captured the suspect just minutes after the shooting, walking westbound toward Pratt Avenue. Investigators were able to identify him in part because of his “distinct limp.”

He then allegedly entered a nearby apartment building and appeared on internal surveillance cameras without a mask.

And then came yet another revealing detail from ABC Chicago. Witnesses told police they had been suspicious of a man hiding near the pier before the shooting and said they saw him walking “with a very distinct and slow gait.”

When Gorman and her group of friends came upon him, he allegedly wore a mask and all-black clothing. Prosecutors said he then fired shots as the group ran.

ABC Chicago also reported that Gorman died from her injuries. After reviewing the surveillance video, police tracked the suspect to his home near North Sheridan Road, just a couple of blocks from the scene. He was arrested there.

When a lobby camera captured him without a mask, investigators used facial recognition software before U.S. Customs and Border Protection records returned a match for the Venezuelan national. Inside Medina’s apartment, officers allegedly found the clothing he was believed to have been wearing during the shooting.

They also recovered a .40-caliber handgun that matched shell casings found at the scene. Monday’s pretrial detention hearing was postponed because Medina was still being treated for tuberculosis at Illinois Masonic Hospital.

The same report said he is due back in court Friday morning, as long as doctors approve his release. The case has since exploded into a much broader public debate because of Medina’s immigration and criminal history.

ABC Chicago reported that the Department of Homeland Security said Medina is an undocumented immigrant who allegedly entered the country in 2023 and remained in Chicago despite earlier law-enforcement contact.

According to that report, Medina was arrested by Border Patrol in 2023 and then released. Chicago police also arrested him later that same year on retail theft charges tied to a Macy’s store in the city.

Court records showed he failed to appear on those charges, prompting an arrest warrant. Additionally, local and federal officials have since argued he should not have been free on the streets. The case has also drawn comments from several high-profile figures. U.S. President Donald Trump said, “It’s devastating,” before blaming the prior administration and praising ICE.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s office issued a statement saying violent crime has no place in Chicago’s streets and that the alleged perpetrator should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

The governor’s office also accused the Trump administration of politicizing a heinous tragedy instead of focusing on prevention and public-safety funding.

The pain of Gorman’s loss is being felt the most by her bereaved parents, whom Archdiocese of Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich said are taking this “very hard.”

He then shared a heartbreaking line from her father: “Every parent says that their kid is the best in the world, but mine was.” The family’s attorney has also spoken forcefully. In statements, Gorman’s loved ones said they are grateful for the quick work of police, but emphasized that an arrest is not the same thing as justice.

“Their efforts matter. But this is not justice— it is the first step toward it,” the family said. They added that the case must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of both state and federal law.

They also acknowledged Medina’s “prior encounters with the system” and said they were “gravely disappointed by the policies and failures that allowed this individual to remain in a position to commit this crime.”

The federal response has only added more scrutiny. On its website, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said ICE lodged an arrest detainer asking Illinois officials not to release Medina.

Local officials, however, have said Chicago must first prosecute the felony case. So while the legal fight continues, Gorman’s family is left waiting for the next steps in a process they never asked to be part of. Still, through every statement, one thing keeps coming through more loudly than anything else: who Gorman was.

18-Year-Old Nolan Wells Was Last Seen Alive – His Last Words to a Friend and What Happened Next

The Promises Now Made in Her Name

Her family said she was only 18 and “just beginning her journey as a college freshman—embracing new experiences, building friendships, and living the life every parent hopes their child will have.” That image makes the loss feel even crueler. They said Gorman deserved a full life and deserved the future that was taken from her.

And then came the line that now stands as both tribute and promise: “We will not allow her to be remembered as just another story. She was extraordinary, and she will always be loved.”

Outside the courtroom and beyond the headlines, that love has been made visible in quieter, deeply moving ways, too. One of the clearest examples is a GoFundMe created to support Gorman’s family and honor her memory.

Funds raised will go toward remembrance and memorial activities, as well as creating a memorial and/or scholarship in Gorman’s name. The goal is to ensure that her light continues to shine in service and support of others, something the family says she truly believed in.

And the response has been enormous, as of the campaign’s $180,000 goal, it has raised over $150,000 thus far.

There is also an online tribute wall, where loved ones can leave messages, share memories, and honor Gorman’s life. Even as the case moves through the courts, Gorman’s family has continued asking the public not to turn away. In their NBC Chicago statement, they thanked supporters, but stressed that gratitude alone is not enough.

They urged anyone with information to come forward and speak with law enforcement. Such people are encouraged to contact Campus Safety at 773-508-SAFE, or the Chicago Police Department at 911 or 312-744-8263. They also made a broader appeal that feels bigger than this one case. They said they cannot accept a world where moments like this become something people grow used to.

“We cannot allow ourselves to become desensitized to violence,” they said. “Apathy is not harmless—it allows these moments to repeat.” It is a line that feels as much like a warning as it does a cry of pain.

At the center of all the legal filings, surveillance details, and public arguments is a teenage girl who stepped out with friends, hoping to look up at the sky. It should have been ordinary, and it should have been safe.

Instead, her family is now left mourning a daughter and sister they describe as extraordinary, while classmates remember a smiling freshman whose future had only just begun. And in the middle of all of it, the people who loved Gorman most are making one thing crystal clear: she will always be loved, and she will not be forgotten.

At this time, we wish to extend our most heartfelt condolences to Gorman’s parents, her entire family, loved ones, friends, classmates, community, and all who knew and loved her as they mourn such a significant loss. We hope for their healing amid their time of grief. RIP, dear Gorman.

Ex-U.S. Counterintelligence Agent Monica Witt Wanted as FBI Announces $200,000 Reward

The FBI has revived its hunt for former counterintelligence agent Monica Witt with a $200,000 reward, years after her shocking defection to Iran rattled the U.S. intelligence world.

A former Air Force intelligence specialist disappeared into Iran more than a decade ago, and now the FBI says the woman accused of betraying America is still out there. The renewed hunt for Monica Witt has dragged one of the most chilling espionage scandals back into the spotlight.

The former U.S. counterintelligence agent once handled classified secrets and worked alongside America’s intelligence community. Today, federal authorities claim she crossed over to the other side entirely and may still be helping Iran.

FBI Renews Search for Monica Witt

The FBI is offering $200,000 for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of Monica Witt, a former U.S. service member and counterintelligence agent charged with espionage-related crimes involving Iran.

According to the FBI Washington Field Office announcement, the reward was officially announced on May 14, 2026. Federal authorities said Witt was indicted by a grand jury in Washington, D.C., in February 2019.

Prosecutors accused her of transmitting national defense information to the Iranian government after previously serving as a U.S. counterintelligence specialist.

The renewed reward announcement suggests investigators are still actively searching for Witt years after the original indictment became public.

Daniel Wierzbicki, special agent in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office’s Counterintelligence and Cyber Division, said, “Monica Witt allegedly betrayed her oath to the Constitution more than a decade ago by defecting to Iran and providing the Iranian regime with National Defense Information, and likely continues to support their nefarious activities.”

He added, “The FBI has not forgotten and believes that during this critical moment in Iran’s history, there is someone who knows something about her whereabouts.”

The 2012 Trip That Drew Attention

The most dramatic chapter in the case allegedly began in February 2012.

According to federal prosecutors, Witt traveled to Iran to attend an event known as the “Hollywoodism” conference, organized by the Iranian New Horizon Organization.

Authorities described the conference as an event sponsored by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, that promoted anti-U.S. messaging and criticized American cultural influence.

The trip would later become one of the most closely examined moments in the investigation.

Prosecutors alleged that during and after the conference, Witt interacted with individuals connected to Iranian government interests.

One person identified in court documents only as “Individual A” allegedly became a key contact.

Federal investigators said Witt later communicated extensively with the dual U.S.-Iranian citizen after returning home.

From Military Insider to Espionage Charges

Before the allegations surfaced, Witt served as a U.S. Air Force intelligence specialist and later worked in counterintelligence roles involving highly sensitive government information.

According to the Department of Justice case announcement, Monica Elfriede Witt entered active duty with the U.S. Air Force in 1997. Federal prosecutors said Witt left active military service in 2008 but continued working as a Department of Defense contractor until 2010.

During that time, authorities say she received high-level security clearances that gave her access to secret and top secret intelligence.

Investigators also alleged she had access to the true identities of undercover U.S. Intelligence Community personnel. The government said Witt participated in classified counterintelligence missions overseas during her years in service.

The 2012 Iran Conference

One of the most striking elements of the case remains how Witt allegedly left the United States and eventually resurfaced in Iran.

During and after the conference, Witt interacted with individuals connected to Iranian government interests.

One person identified in court documents only as “Individual A” allegedly became a key contact.

Federal investigators said Witt later communicated extensively with the dual U.S.-Iranian citizen after returning home.

Her Return to Iran

According to prosecutors, those communications eventually led to another trip. Federal officials alleged Witt arranged to re-enter Iran in August 2013.

That second visit would later become central to the government’s case. Authorities claim Witt defected to Iran after arriving there in 2013.

The indictment alleged Iranian officials provided her with housing and computer equipment after her arrival. Investigators also claimed Witt began supplying sensitive information to the Iranian government shortly afterward.

Among the allegations were claims that she disclosed information tied to a classified Department of Defense Special Access Program.

Federal prosecutors further alleged that Witt provided information that endangered U.S. intelligence personnel and even family members stationed overseas.

Alleged Work for Iranian Intelligence

The accusations did not stop with classified information. Prosecutors alleged Witt actively helped Iranian intelligence officials identify and monitor former U.S. colleagues she once worked alongside.

According to the indictment, Witt conducted research on personnel connected to the U.S. Intelligence Community and helped prepare so-called “target packages.”

Federal officials said those files contained information about intelligence employees and former associates. Assistant Attorney General John Demers described the allegations in unusually blunt terms when the case was first unsealed.

“Monica Witt is charged with revealing to the Iranian regime a highly classified intelligence program and the identity of a U.S. Intelligence Officer,” Demers said.

He also accused Witt of violating “her solemn oath to protect and defend our country.”

The Cyber Plot Allegations

The case expanded even further when prosecutors announced charges against four Iranian nationals allegedly connected to cyber operations involving Witt’s former colleagues.

Federal officials accused the men of conspiracy, attempted computer intrusion, and aggravated identity theft. Authorities alleged the cyber operations took place between 2014 and 2015 and targeted former U.S. intelligence personnel connected to Witt.

Investigators claimed the group worked on behalf of the IRGC. According to prosecutors, the alleged cyber conspirators used fake social media accounts, malware campaigns, and spearphishing attacks to try to infiltrate computers and networks.

One of the most startling allegations involved a fake Facebook profile. Federal prosecutors claimed the conspirators created a Facebook account impersonating one of Witt’s former colleagues, using real photos and personal information copied from the employee’s actual account

Authorities said several former intelligence personnel accepted friend requests from the fake profile because it appeared legitimate.

The indictment alleged the cyber group attempted to trick targets into opening malicious files or clicking infected links that would secretly install malware.

Officials Describe a Rare Betrayal

Several senior federal officials publicly condemned Witt’s alleged actions when the charges became public. Special Agent Terry Phillips of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations called the allegations “a betrayal of our nation’s security, our military, and the American people.”

He added that such violations are “extremely rare.” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin also addressed the case while announcing sanctions tied to Iranian cyber operations.

Mnuchin said New Horizon conferences had allegedly provided Iranian intelligence officers opportunities to recruit attendees and gather information.

Federal officials additionally accused the IRGC of supporting intelligence collection efforts and cyber campaigns targeting Americans.

Still Missing After More Than a Decade

Even after the 2019 indictment and years of public attention, investigators say Witt has not been captured. The FBI’s new reward announcement makes clear that federal authorities are still actively searching for her.

Officials have not publicly disclosed where they believe Witt currently lives. But prosecutors continue to describe her alleged defection as one of the most damaging insider betrayals outlined in a modern U.S. counterintelligence case.

Now, with the FBI publicly offering $200,000 for information tied to her capture, the case has once again returned to public view — bringing renewed attention to the former intelligence specialist whose path allegedly led from classified U.S. operations to the Iranian government.

Rob Reiner’s Son Nick Faces Grand Jury’s Decision in His Parents’ Deaths — Here’s What Was Revealed

Nick Reiner’s case entered a new phase when a Los Angeles County grand jury approved charges tied to the deaths of his parents, director Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner.

Prosecutors unsealed the indictment on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, after the grand jury returned it on July 20. Nick, 32, remains in custody without bond as the case proceeds.

The Grand Jury’s Decision Changes the Case

According to ABC News, the grand jury indictment meant the previously expected preliminary hearing would no longer take place, allowing the case to proceed under the new charges.

Rob and Michele Reiner were found fatally stabbed in their Brentwood home on December 14, 2025. Nick was living on his parents’ property at the time, and sources said he had argued with his father at a holiday party the night before their deaths and was later seen behaving unusually.

Following his arrest, prosecutors charged Nick with two counts of murder and accused him of using a knife as a deadly weapon. The case also carried a special-circumstance allegation involving multiple murders.

Prosecutors Say Nick Reiner Acted by Lying in Wait

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said, “The indictment unsealed today also adds a special circumstance allegation that the defendant committed the murders by means of lying in wait.”

The new allegation adds to the existing special circumstance involving multiple murders and could affect the penalties Nick faces if convicted. Hochman said the indictment brings prosecutors closer to trial and to what he described as achieving justice in the case.

If convicted as charged, Nick could face life in state prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has not yet decided whether it will seek the death penalty. Nick’s case is scheduled to return to court on September 15.

The latest grand jury development also puts Nick’s earlier court appearances into sharper context, including a February 23 hearing that drew attention not only for the legal decisions made that day, but also for his appearance and behavior in court.

At the time, Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing deaths of his parents, according to CNN.

He waived his right to a speedy preliminary hearing, bail was denied, and a preliminary hearing was tentatively scheduled for April 29. The charges carried a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

Hochman said prosecutors had not yet decided whether they would seek capital punishment, explaining that the decision would involve reviewing “all aggravating and mitigating circumstances.” Another significant development also came to light.

Who Is Paying for Nick Reiner’s Defense Now?

According to TMZ, his siblings, Romy and Jake Reiner, were no longer covering the cost of his legal representation. Sources with direct knowledge told the outlet they had no plans to retain a private criminal defense attorney on his behalf.

Shortly after the deaths, Romy and Jake had hired high-profile attorney Alan Jackson to represent their brother. However, Jackson later withdrew from the case because of what was described as an undisclosed disagreement.

A public defender was appointed last month, initially appearing to be a temporary arrangement. But during Monday’s hearing, Deputy Public Defender Kimberly Greene appeared in court and entered a not guilty plea on Nick’s behalf — suggesting the arrangement may now be long-term.

One source familiar with the situation told TMZ, “Nick’s defense is Nick’s defense. They’re not involved.” But beyond the legal maneuvering, it was Nick himself who became the focus of intense scrutiny.

The Look Draws Attention

Inside the courtroom, Nick appeared with a closely shaved head and wore brown prison-issued overalls. Shackles were fastened around his wrists as he sat behind Greene.

In footage from the hearing shared by Extra TV on YouTube, Reiner’s expression appeared tense and fixed at times, his eyes wide as he looked toward the front of the courtroom. In other moments, he stared downward, jaw set, shoulders slightly hunched.

It was that stare that viewers immediately noticed. On Instagram, one commenter wrote, “His eyes are telling 👀.” Another reacted bluntly, “Crazy eyes.”

A third offered a more emotional take, “How sad. This is still someone’s baby boy. Unrecognizable. Was so handsome years ago. How sad the toll mental health issues can take on a person. Sad situation all around. If he is of sound mind now imagine the pain he’s living.”

On the same platform, additional viewers shared similar reactions. “Very sad for all involved 😢,” a different viewer wrote, while someone else observed, “The eyes never lie.”

Expert Offers Interpretation of Nick’s Behavior

Body language expert and author Susan Constantine told Page Six that she observed a fleeting moment that stood out to her in the footage.

“There is a really interesting smirk where his head goes down and then he smiles,” Constantine said, adding that he appeared to be “trying to conceal his emotions.”

She referred to Nick’s expression as “duper’s delight.” The expert explained:

“‘Duper’s delight’ is when a person gets a sense or rush or enjoyment…You will see that it’s almost like a sinister smile and it kind of leaks out at the most inappropriate moments.”

According to Susan, the expression suggested what she described as “an unconscious smirk of a sense of enjoyment or elation or excitement.” She added that once he appeared to recognize the expression, he quickly “changed his behavior.”

Beyond the smile, the expert also pointed to visible tension in his facial muscles, particularly in his forehead and eyes, which she said suggested worry, fear, and heightened intensity.

While that moment drew scrutiny, it was not the first time Nick appeared in court in this case. Nick made his initial appearance in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. During the proceedings, he spoke when the judge asked him a question.

Shackled Defendant Appears in Glass-Enclosed Area

Clad in a blue anti-suicide smock and bound at the wrists and ankles with shackles, Nick made a subdued but haunting appearance inside the court. Separated from the courtroom by a sheet of thick glass, he sat and stared straight ahead.

As the courtroom settled into a heavy silence, Nick’s attorney, Alan, dressed sharply in a suit, addressed Judge Theresa McGonigle with a request to delay the arraignment.

“Your Honor, if we could, I would like to ask for a continuance of the arraignment,” Alan said, standing between two members of his legal team. “We’ve coordinated with counsel from the DA’s office, and January 7th, with the court’s permission, will be a convenient date for us to come back for a potential arraignment.” The judge acknowledged his statement, then directed her attention directly to the defendant.

“Mr. Reiner, you have a constitutional and statutory right to a speedy arraignment,” she explained. “Your counsel is requesting that your arraignment be continued to January 7, 2026. Do you waive your right to a speedy arraignment so that your arraignment can be heard on January 7, 2026?”

Donald Trump Announces Karoline Leavitt Is Leaving Her White House Role

President Donald Trump has announced that the White House Press Secretary will leave her role at the end of August, bringing an unexpected change to the administration less than three months before the 2026 midterm elections.

At 28, Karoline Leavitt has become one of the most recognizable faces of President Trump’s second administration. But the road to the White House podium began several years before she took the job — and the events that eventually led her away from it unfolded much more recently.

Leavitt’s rise through Trump’s political world was already well underway before she became the face of his White House messaging operation. She previously worked in the White House press office during Trump’s first administration and later served as communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik, according to TheWrap.

Before She Became Trump’s Press Secretary

In 2022, Leavitt ran for Congress in New Hampshire. She won the Republican nomination but lost the general election to Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas.

She later joined Trump’s political operation, serving as a spokeswoman for his transition team and as national press secretary for his 2024 presidential campaign. That experience eventually brought her back to the White House, where she became one of the administration’s most visible public voices.

She Took a Different Approach to the Podium

Once Leavitt became press secretary, her role quickly became about more than traditional White House briefings. At her first briefing in January 2025, she announced that the administration would open press credentials to podcasters, social media influencers and other “new media” journalists.

The change reflected her argument that the White House needed to adapt to the way Americans consume news.

Leavitt also presided over a major change in how the administration handled the White House press pool. The Trump administration took control of determining which news organizations would participate, a responsibility traditionally handled by the independent White House Correspondents’ Association.

The move drew objections from the organization and some news outlets over concerns about editorial independence and access. Leavitt also frequently clashed with members of the traditional press corps while defending Trump’s administration, making criticism of legacy media a recurring part of her briefings.

According to CNN, that made her departure more significant than simply losing another White House spokesperson. Leavitt had developed an understanding of Trump’s political instincts and became a key part of the administration’s effort to communicate with the public.

Then Her Life Outside the White House Changed

The next major chapter came in the spring of 2026, when Leavitt prepared to welcome her second child. On April 24, during a press gaggle, Leavitt joked that she was “about ready to have a baby any minute.”

A little over a week later, that moment arrived. Leavitt welcomed her daughter, Viviana, nicknamed “Vivi,” on May 1, 2026. Five days later, on May 7, she publicly announced the birth on Instagram, writing, “On May 1st, Viviana aka ‘Vivi’ joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. 💕”

She continued, “She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister.” Leavitt also gave followers a glimpse of those first days with her newborn, writing, “We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.”

The photo showed Leavitt holding her daughter in a cozy nursery, dressed casually in a pink cardigan and gray sweatpants. The image offered a rare look at the press secretary away from the podium, surrounded by the softer details of life with a newborn.

She Returned to a Job That Never Slows Down

After maternity leave, Leavitt returned to the White House and resumed one of the administration’s most demanding public-facing positions. That return would ultimately force her to confront a difficult question about how much time and energy she could continue giving to the job.

According to Leavitt’s statement, the months after her daughter’s birth changed the way she viewed the demands of the position. She later explained that serving as press secretary had been “the honor and adventure of a lifetime,” recalling her time in the West Wing, the Oval Office, overseas travel and meetings with foreign leaders and Americans across the country.

But her return after giving birth brought a realization she could no longer ignore.

“The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.”

Then Trump Made the Announcement

On August 12, Trump publicly announced that Leavitt would leave her role at the end of the month. In his Truth Social post, Trump wrote:

“Our wonderful White House Press Secretary, and one of my most trusted aides, Karoline Leavitt, will be departing her role at the end of the month so she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family, a decision I totally understand and respect!”

The phrase “one of my most trusted aides” offered a glimpse into just how highly Trump viewed the woman who had spent the past year and a half speaking for his administration.

Trump went further, saying, “Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.”

He also praised her work in the White House, saying she had been a real leader and had done a “phenomenal job fighting for Justice, Liberty, and Freedom.” Trump added that Leavitt had been “one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”

Leavitt Is Leaving the Podium, Not the Movement

Leavitt’s own statement made clear that her political involvement will continue. “President Trump has asked me to continue serving as a top advisor to him on the outside, and I will always remain a vocal advocate for MAGA and the Republican Party.”

She continued, “Our country is facing an existential threat from an increasingly extremist Democrat Party that seeks to destroy everything great about America, and I believe it is incumbent upon all of us who care about this country to fight back against that threat. My fight is entering a new phase, but it is far from over.”

She also thanked Trump, first lady Melania Trump, the Trump family, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, her Cabinet colleagues, staff, colleagues and friends at the White House.

Her final thanks went to her family. “And of course, thank you most especially to my loving and supportive husband and family for the sacrifices they made for me to serve in this role.”

This 13-Year-Old’s Voice Left the World Speechless – 20 Million People Can’t Be Wrong

Daneliya Tuleshova’s “Tears of Gold” AGT Audition Wasn’t Just a Performance—It Was an Awakening

Vocal warm-up exercises

Some singers hit notes. Others hit emotions. But once in a while, a voice appears that wraps around your heart and squeezes—not in pain, but in awe. That’s exactly what 13-year-old Daneliya Tuleshova did when she walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage in 2020.

She stood small and humble, with long blonde hair and eyes that held both nerves and determination. And then… she sang.

“Tears of Gold,” a song by Faouzia known for its emotional weight and vocal demands, poured out of her in waves. The moment she opened her mouth, the room shifted. Her voice—controlled, powerful, haunting—felt like it had lived a thousand lifetimes. Every word carried heartbreak. Every note carried strength. The judges sat still at first, maybe unsure what to expect—but by the time she hit the chorus, they were wide-eyed. One by one, they stood, clapping in stunned silence

And back home? Millions of us felt it through the screen. Her audition has since been viewed over 20 million times—and honestly, it’s not enough. That performance was more than just good. It was soul-shaking.

She definitely deserved the golden buzzer!

Now, let’s be honest. We’ve all seen golden buzzer moments that were good—some even great. But Daneliya? That audition had everything. Not just the notes. Not just the power. But truth. And when she stood there afterward, quietly smiling as the audience gave her a standing ovation, it was impossible not to think:

But it didn’t happen.

There was no confetti. No dramatic slow-motion hugs. And maybe that’s what makes this performance even more powerful—it stood on its own. No gimmicks. No need for glitter. Just a girl, a dream, and a voice that could stop time.

A Story Bigger Than the Stage

Daneliya was not new to performing. She had already made waves in Europe—winning The Voice Kids Ukraine, representing Kazakhstan at Junior Eurovision, and reaching the Top 8 on The World’s Best. But AGT? That was different. That was her stepping onto one of the world’s biggest stages and saying, “I’m here.”

And she came not to impress, but to express. The pain and resilience in her voice during “Tears of Gold” wasn’t acted—it was lived. Even if she hadn’t experienced heartbreak the way the song suggests, she carried it like someone who had been listening deeply her whole life. That’s rare. Especially at 13

Throughout the season, she continued to amaze. Her semifinal performance of Jessie J’s “Who You Are” had judge Sofia Vergara saying it felt like being at a real concert. Her finals rendition of Sia’s “Alive” was a vocal hurricane. Still, she didn’t win the show. She placed in the Top 10, finishing in 6th place.

But let’s be real—some victories don’t come with trophies. They come with doors opening, hearts moved, and futures rewritten.

Since the show, Daneliya has only grown—not just in fame, but in artistry. She’s now based in the U.S., writes her own songs, and releases  music under just one name: Daneliya. Her sound has matured, blending pop, soul, and raw emotion. Songs like “It’s Only Pain” and “Cynical” show a young woman stepping fully into her power.

She graduated high school in the U.S., started living independently as a teenager, and continued to perform worldwide. She even returned to AGT in the All-Stars edition, proving that her voice, and her story, still belong in the spotlight.

And maybe most beautifully—through it all—she hasn’t forgotten where she’s from. Every time she walks on stage, she says, “I’m Daneliya, and I’m from Kazakhstan.” It’s not just pride—it’s identity. And it’s powerful.

A Voice That Echoes

There’s something about that Tears of Gold performance that sticks with you. It’s not just a girl singing a song. It’s a moment where everything—talent, heart, timing—lined up perfectly. A moment that deserved confetti. A golden buzzer. A standing ovation from the world.

But maybe the real magic is this: she didn’t need it. That performance was golden with or without the buzzer. Because it made us feel. It reminded us what music can do.

And honestly? That rendition should be sold in pharmacies—because it heals souls.

If you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a favor. Grab some headphones. Find a quiet space. And let her voice carry you somewhere deep—somewhere honest. You’ll understand exactly what we mean.
